It’s Day 11 of the Thirty Days of Chastity meme, and today I’m sharing my views on chastity as a lifestyle choice.

Day 11: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT…

What are your views on Chastity as a lifestyle choice? Would you advocate it, or is it purely an element of play for short periods only? Which is best for your life-style?

For me, chastity is definitely a lifestyle choice, not something I practice only for short periods (kink), because I firmly believe chastity adds value to my life. Here I define a lifestyle choice as a personal and conscious decision to perform a behavior in our everyday lives that can benefit us both physically and mentally and lead to a happier, more fulfilling life. And chastity has literally improved every aspect of my life.

Chastity has given me increased clarity, confidence, creativity, and drive. Since starting it, I’m more productive than I’ve ever been in my life. I feel at ease, peaceful, vibrant, and less stressed than I’ve ever felt. I feel like a different person.

I feel that the benefits I get from the chastity lifestyle come mostly from limiting ejaculations. That’s because many of the positives track well with the teachings about semen retention in Taoism and Tantra. No judgements on guys who practice chastity for short periods to satisfy their kink interests, but chastity is and will always be a lifestyle for me. I can’t even imagine my life anymore without chastity as an integral part of it.

While I’ve always preferred open-style cages, I am excited about trying my first enclosed tube device. Can’t wait to share a review after wear testing it.

Thirty Days of Chastity: Day 10

It’s Day 10, and we’re one-third of the way through the Thirty Days of Chastity meme. Today’s question reminds me a little of the Ambrosia pop song from the seventies, “How Long.”

DAY 10: HOW LONG…

What’s the longest you (or your partner) have been locked in? What’s your goal?

I am in my longest stretch of consecutively locked days right now, and today the number stands at 543 days. Yes, I’ve unlocked during that time, but only for 15-20 minutes every week or so for a deep cleaning. But otherwise, I’ve worn a chastity cage every single day over that period. Will I make it 730 days, two full years? I’m not sure.

My current streak began when I decided to try to go for one full year locked. But once I achieved it, I wasn’t ready to call it quits. I’ve kept going, although I never consciously thought about trying for two full years. Actually, it surprised me when I checked my status page one day and saw I’d surpassed the 500-day mark.

I suppose it’s fair to say, I don’t have a goal tied to number of days, weeks, months, or years. All I know is I want to remain in permanent chastity for the foreseeable future because it’s meaningful to me and adds value to my life. I have used goals in the past: 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, six months, and finally one full year. Those intermediate goals helped propel me to where I am today in my chastity journey.

Speaking of permanent chastity, just about everyone has their own opinion about what that means. For some purists, permanent chastity means you never remove the cage. Others, as I do, feel it’s okay to remove the cage for a few minutes for regular deep cleaning and maintenance, but you can’t touch herself and certainly can’t come. So, abstaining from orgasms I think is how many people define permanent chastity. I don’t agree with that. One woman, a wife and the keyholder for her husband, publishes a blog I read regularly. She has him on a seven-day schedule for reasons that make sense to her. So, she unlocks him once each week and he is allowed to masturbate to orgasm and ejaculate. Then after his weekly deep cleaning, she puts him back into the cage for another seven days. Is that permanent chastity? I don’t see how you could make a rational argument it isn’t. He spends most of his time, and has for a long while now, with his penis locked in a chastity cage.

My first keyholder counted days in chastity when she allowed me to unlock for cleaning and maintenance, but when she permitted me an orgasm, even a ruined one, she restarted the clock at day one. I understood the reasoning. She followed her philosophy about how long I should go without an orgasm. So, restarting the clock made it simpler for her to keep track. But since she always locked me up again immediately after the orgasms once I’d completed my weekly deep cleaning, it didn’t make sense why we started again with day one. I was never unlocked for more than twenty minutes and the orgasms were few and far between. Certainly not weekly like the guy I mentioned earlier.

But, for the purists out there, ninety days is the longest I’ve gone without an orgasm, and I’ve done that more than once. But someone else’s opinions don’t change my mind about the definition of permanent chastity. Since I also practice the semen retention concept, you can believe orgasms are infrequent for me. So, I still consider myself a permanent chastity practitioner even though I allow myself occasional orgasms when I’m self-locked. Like anything else, there is no one “true” way to do permanent chastity. So, every guy (or his keyholder if he has one) can decide what constitutes permanent chastity for him.

It’s Day 9 of the Thirty Days of Chastity meme, and I wasn’t sure I had anything to offer on the topic for today. But then I remembered something I think fits the theme pretty well.

DAY 9: LISTEN…

Post a Chastity related song or music video you enjoy. If it isn’t directly chastity related then explain what it means to you? Is it part of your Chastity ritual?

This question stumped me a little at first. I love music and have rather eclectic tastes. But I’ve never thought of music as chastity related. But then I remembered something that happened with my first keyholder. I heard a song I liked that reminded me of her. I even told her about it. It’s the Matchbook 20 song “She’s So Mean.”

The lyrics open with…

“I kn-kn-know a girl

She gets what she wants all the time

‘Cause she’s fine

But for an angel, she’s a hot, hot mess

Make you so blind

But you don’t mind…”

That certainly fits. But it’s more the overall song theme “she’s so mean” that always made me think of her. Actually, it still does. I can’t hear the song even now without it bringing her to my mind and leaving me feeling a bit wistful.

Generally, we understand a mean person as someone we would describe as unkind or unfair. That’s not what I intend to convey here. My keyholder wasn’t unkind or unfair. She was, however, strict and demanding, just what I expect from my ideal of a strong, dominant woman.

It’s important for a keyholder to have the capacity to be strict and demanding, especially when they are the intimate partner of a chaste man. That’s because she can’t allow her natural desires to make her partner happy and to avoid being perceived as “mean” to persuade her to give in when he begs to be unlocked or for an early release. She must remain resolute and exacting if chastity is to work for her and her partner. A keyholder must have the wisdom to understand she is providing exactly what her man desires, no matter whether he begins to complain or feel sorry for himself.

So, if you have a keyholder that makes you think sometimes, “she so mean,” then know how fortunate you are to have a keyholder who gets it.

Upcoming Chastity Device Reviews

I’ve ordered two new devices, so get ready for more upcoming chastity device reviews.

Since I’m still many weeks away from receiving either of the new custom-made chastity devices I’ve recently ordered, I ordered two inexpensive devices that I’ll feature in upcoming chastity device reviews. I like to wear test and review both custom and less expensive off-the-shelf devices so that this blog covers the bases for everyone interested in exploring male chastity. 

Have a look at the two devices I should receive soon.

The A271 Stainless Steel Device

This isn’t a device that holds much personal appeal for me, but I’m always looking for a basic, inexpensive steel device that I might find worthy of recommending to beginners. A guy I’ve chatted with recently is having a difficult time finding a first device that works well for him. He’s already tried the Holy Trainer, but found it unsatisfactory and prefers steel, anyway. Also, he prefers something with a closed tube rather than a device with an open-style wire cage. So, I hope the A271 might fit the bill. It is mostly a closed tube with an open-style cap that should offer easier urination and cleaning.

The A271 tube or cage measures 42mm (1.65354 inches). That’s toward the shorter end of the scale for the guy I’ve spoken with who told me his average flaccid size is around 2.5 inches. But as I’ve said before, going a little shorter will never cause you problems. The inside diameter is 33mm (1.29921 inches), which is adequate for this guy’s flaccid diameter of 1.2 inches. The A271 comes with one ergonomic-shaped base ring, and the sizes available are 45mm, or 50mm. I ordered the 45mm ring since I’m wear-testing this device and that’s the closest to my ideal 43mm base ring size. The guy I’m trying to help shared he requires about a 48mm ring so would need to order the 50mm if he chose to try this device.

I got the A271, which I found available from many eBay sellers, for ten bucks, and it doesn’t get much cheaper than that. I only hope when it arrives that it really is stainless-steel, not chrome plated, which can cause rashes for some guys with sensitive skin.

Mamba Male Device

The second device I ordered is the Mamba Male Chastity device. This looks quite like the Cobra knock-off I recently reviewed, but with a shorter cage, 60mm (2.3622 inches) instead of 75mm (2.95276 inches). So, I’m hopeful it will work better than the longer Cobra cage I tried since I did order this device for personal use and for a specific purpose. 

Later this year, I’ll travel to Europe and then the Caribbean. Since I’ll be spending time on planes and passing through metal detectors, I wanted a device I could wear that hopefully would not end up putting me in a claustrophobic interview room showing my junk to a TSA officer. I heard about this device and checked it out.

Besides the compact size, this plastic device also uses a plastic “Air Lock” and standard plastic numbered lock to secure the tube to the base ring. There is no metal at all with this device. So, it significantly reduces the chances of detection while passing through security. Of course, wearing a chastity device on an aircraft is not a violation of any law or TSA rule, but I’d rather not have that awkward discussion with a complete stranger at an airport that I’ve heard other guys have had to endure.

Besides the 60mm (2.3622 inches) cage length, the Mamba device cage has an internal diameter of 30mm (1.1811 inches). That’s a little tighter than I prefer, but will work without comprising my circulation. It comes with a four-size base ring selection including a 42mm size. A supply of plastic numbered locks comes with the “Air Lock.”

The Mamba only set me back $12, so I think it’s well worth a test spin. Sure, I could fly unlocked and put my device back on after arriving at my destination, but I’d rather be locked full time. Maybe this device will provide exactly what I’m looking for.

It’s Day 8 of the Thirty Days of Chastity meme, and we’re almost a third of the way through. So far, I’ve revealed some pretty personal things about me; fantasies, toys, etc. We continue that today as I share chastity images that represent chastity to me.

DAY 8: LOOK…

Post a Chastity image you find erotic. Briefly describe what arouses you most in the image or why it represents chastity to you.

In full disclosure, I must admit I’m not much into chastity porn. As examples, I don’t seek out or watch “Chastity” porn videos or look for images depicting chastity. I don’t consume any porn routinely anymore for some personal reasons. Not that I judge anyone who does. It just isn’t for me anymore. So, to respond to today’s topic, I actually had to make an effort to find an image to post, and I found two and am sharing both.

It is not my habit to “steal” copyrighted material and I won’t post images on this blog owned by someone else without the copyright holder’s permission or that don’t meet the criteria of Fair Use. The truth is, if there is anywhere to find chastity images, even photos you would be willing to pay for, I haven’t found it. Chastity isn’t yet mainstream enough for that. For that reason, I’m only posting links to the photos, so if you’re interested in seeing them, click the links.

This image represents chastity to me because it covers all the primary elements. It depicts a male in a submissive pose locked in a chastity device, and while you see only her high-heeled shoe, a strong woman in charge. As I’ve written before, you needn’t be a submissive to enjoy and embrace male chastity, but chastity under the control of another is a submissive act. I think this image also speaks to that. I find this a compelling image because it depicts all of these things in a powerful, yet almost understated way.

This second image also represents chastity to me in a powerful way. I saw this photo quite a long time ago and never forgot it. It illustrates the inclusive and diverse nature of chastity. Regardless of gender identity or sexual preferences, any penis owner can embrace and practice chastity just as I do. Here we have a lovely woman with breasts, attractively dressed, with her penis caged in a stylish chastity device. I think she’s stunning, and the chastity device only enhances it.

I don’t know the model, Rachael Belle, so I can only assume from her behavior, appearance, and dress as depicted in the image that she is a transgender person. As a cisgender man, I don’t pretend to understand everything about transgender people. And people’s thoughts and feelings about their gender can be complex. Having a variety of words and identity labels to describe the various ways they might think about their gender helps them communicate who they are. So, out of respect to Rachael, I won’t assume what words or identity labels she uses to describe herself.

Transgender people use many different terms to describe their experiences, and not all terms fit all people. Also, the terms or language a person prefers may change over time, and that’s totally normal and okay. So, approaching transgender people with respect, awareness, and a desire to learn about gender is always important in making sure you don’t hurt anyone’s feelings or give unintended offense.

Cobra Male Chastity Lock Device Review

My much delayed Cobra Male Chastity Lock device review

I completed the wear test of the Cobra Male Chastity Lock device weeks ago, but had difficulty generating the enthusiasm to write and post the review. The reason for that is I wasn’t much impressed with this chastity device.

Just so we’re clear, this is NOT the KINK Cobra 3D-Printed chastity device, which I haven’t tried but have seen many positive reviews for. Instead, the Cobra Male Chastity Chasity Lock is a cheap copy of the KINK3D original and not in the same class.

I purchased and tested this device, hoping it might be a less expensive alternative for guys who may not have $155 to $185 to buy the KINK3D original. This device looks like the original, and the parts fit together the same. And it is a 3D-printed device.

Cobra Male Chastity Lock Specifications

Cobra Male Chastity Lock Device Physical Details

The manufacturer made this 3D-printed device from strong, lightweight plastic. It appears quite durable. The seller included a small square of high-grit sandpaper in the box, but I didn’t need it. Instead, I found the interior of the tube and all of the four different size base rings completely smooth to touch. The base rings are the standard circular type.

One thing I like about the device is the ring assortment; a 42mm, 45mm, 48mm, and 52mm base ring. My base ring size is 43mm, and I found the 42mm worked well enough for me. Usually, I must default to the 45mm base ring size with off-the-shelf devices, which is a little too big.

The seller offers this device in five different lengths:

  • Micro (50mm)
  • Tight (60mm)
  • Snug (75mm)
  • Comfort (85mm)
  • Max (100mm)

 

I prefer cages a little shorter than the actual average length of my flaccid penis, but I purchased the “Snug” model (75mm) because I thought the size might be more applicable to guys with average size penises. So, that is the model the specs provided above apply to. Ordinarily, if I was only purchasing this device for my use, I would have purchased the “Tight” model (60mm). And I had reason after trying out the device to regret not buying the shorter model.

The manufacturer provides a brass “MagicLocker” and two keys with the device.

Cobra Male Chastity Lock Device Use

The Cobra Male Chastity Lock is a standard ball-trapping device. You insert your scrotum and testicles into the base ring, pull your flaccid penis through the ring to rest atop your testicles, and slide the cage on. Then you mate the two components together and lock up. The device feels secure, but as we know, standard ball-trapping device security is mostly illusionary unless you combine a PA piercing with the device to eliminate the possibility of escape. Unfortunately, there is no option offered for PA wearers. I had no ball slippage issues with the device, which means the standard factory-set gap worked great for me and probably will for ninety percent of the other guys.

The 37mm (1.45669 inches) inside diameter of the penis tube will also work for most men with average size penises. But it might not work for guys with larger peens. However, the variety of penis cage lengths available (50mm to 100mm) means finding a length that works wouldn’t be a problem for most.

There is one quirk to the design of the penis cages I haven’t seen before. The cage is wider than it is in height. So when you hold it out upright in front of your eye, the inside looks like an oval instead of a circle. I don’t know if the original KINK3D design is the same since I haven’t tried one, but at least in the images on the website, the KINK3D cages seem round, not oval-shaped.

The oval shape produced an interesting issue for me, which made me dissatisfied with this device. As all penis owners know, the penis naturally expands and contracts both in length and girth due to external factors, such as temperature. For example, cold weather can make a flaccid penis smaller temporarily. This happens automatically and is controlled by the central nervous system. When I woke after the first night I slept wearing this device, I noticed that my flaccid penis had withdrawn and “stuck” in the upper half of the cage. The cage wasn’t excessively tight, but the oval shape of the cage is why this occurred. I assume I had an attempted erection during the night, and my penis expanded. Then when it contracted, it stuck in the upper end of the cage and couldn’t, in a flaccid state, lengthen. It was actually turtled inside the cage. Using a Q-tip, I eliminated the entrapment and my penis expanded to fill the cage once again. But soon I learned, this would happen again and again over the course of the two weeks I wear tested this device.

I can only imagine the designer of this device thought “smushing” the cage into an oval shape might keep the penis properly positioned, but failed to take into account it would also result in the issue I experienced.

As the image illustrates, my flaccid penis (the usual average length) fills the cage to the tip. Except after a workout or cold weather, my average length when flaccid isn’t much different that the photo shows. So, there is no good reason for it to get stuck and turtled in the upper half of a penis cage. I’ve never had this happen with any other device.

I found this annoying enough that I won’t use this device again. But others might find enough to like about it that they could live with the issue I’ve described. And the device does have some positive features. It seems well-made and durable, is light weight, fits together tightly, and it’s inexpensive.

Precautions to Consider While Wearing the Cobra Male Chastity Lock

The standard precautions apply as with any ball-trapping male chastity device, choosing the proper size base ring is important. The worst that can happen if you choose a ring that’s too large is the locked device might come off or be too easily escaped. However, choosing a ring that is too small can cause significant problems, including compromising your circulation. As a rule of thumb, skin discoloration or skin temperature of the scrotum that feels cooler than normal body temperature are indications of reduced circulation. Wearing a base ring that interferes with circulation is asking for a serious medical issue. When wearing a male chastity device, you should always be able to insert a fingertip between the base ring and your skin. If you can’t, the ring is too small and may impair circulation.

Comfort and Feel of Wearing the Cobra Male Chastity Lock

The Cobra Male Chastity Lock device is very comfortable to wear, and very light weight. Even when my flaccid peen got stuck in the top of the cage after normal contractions it never felt uncomfortable. I just didn’t care for the aesthetics or the time I had to spend manipulating my penis back into the proper position again and again. Comfort and quality are probably the two greatest strengths.

Hygiene Concerns When Wearing the Cobra Male Chasity Lock

Ease of maintaining good hygiene is another area where this device gets high marks. Because of the open design, I found it as easy to keep clean as any of my steel cock cages. And when I removed it the first time for a weekly deep cleaning, I didn’t detect the unpleasant odors I’ve come to expect from resin and plastic cages.

Final Thoughts

One final word on security. This device is secure in the sense it won’t fall off on its own if properly sized. But like most of the resin and plastic devices I’ve tried, I found it quite easy to escape this locked device. By pushing the top of the base ring away from the abdomen, the oval shape of the cage makes it easy to finger your soft penis out of the cage and base ring and then you can easily free your testicles. But I found it impossible to get it back on without unlocking it, which defeats the purpose of escaping if you’re under the watchful eye of a keyholder. And if you aren’t, you could simply unlock it whenever you wished to free yourself.

This isn’t the worst chastity chastity device I’ve ever tried. Because of the fit, comfort, and light weight, I could imagine wearing this device to go for a run or to the gym. But I don’t it like well enough to wear for any extended period of time. The penis sticking issue I mentioned was annoying enough to put me off it. So, I wouldn’t be tempted to buy another of these devices. And since I’m not overly pleased with the device, I wouldn’t recommend it to others. Still, as the comparison below shows, it has more positives than negatives. And if you only want to spend a little on a chastity device, you could certainly do worse than the Cobra Male Chastity Lock. I bought mine right after I first started seeing them on eBay and paid a little more, but I noticed recently they are available from numerous eBay sellers for between $9.99 and $16.99.

It’s Day 7 of the Thirty Days of Chastity meme, and today I’m giving you a peek inside my toy box.

DAY 7: YOUR TOY BOX…

What’s your favorite toy or item of equipment (excluding your chastity belt or device) that you use during chastity play? 

One thing a guy learns, almost out of necessity when embracing the chastity life, is there are other parts of the male body besides the penis that offer highly pleasurable sensations when stimulated properly. Butt play, one of my favorites, can be highly pleasurable and add an extra dimension to people’s sexual enjoyment. 

There are still many negative social barriers that prevent people from trying it, even if they want to. For straight men, masculinity can be a barrier to exploring anal penetration. Sorry if I sound like an infomercial. I have no connection with the company that makes the Phanxy beyond being a very satisfied customer. 

I actually considered answering today’s question by simply telling readers about my favorite toy in generic terms. The reason was because every person is different. A toy that provides a mind-blowing, lip biting experience for one person might well produce a meh response from someone else. So, I worried a little someone might rush out and buy the toy I raved about only to have a disappointing experience with it. That’s happened to me frequently and it can feel soul crushing, not to mention annoying when you feel you’ve wasted your hard-earned money. But I decided to identify the toy because I like it that much.

The Phanxy Specs 

The width of the insertable part of the Phanxy is 1.18 inches, which makes it appropriate even for beginners. I don’t insert huge things into my butt, but I have plenty of toys with much more girth than this one that I accommodate comfortably. But for its designed purpose, the Phanxy is plenty large enough. 

Overall, the toy’s length is 5.5 inches with an insertable length of 4.33 inches. It also comes with a Lithium battery (CR2032) powered remote, but there are also controls on the base. The unit is rechargeable, but the remote battery must be replaced when discharged. It’s also completely waterproof and can be used in the shower or bath. The manual says to allow two hours for charging, but mine charges much faster than that. A blue LED light flashes while charging, and once the light stops blinking and stays illuminated, it’s fully charged.

Why I Like This Prostate Massager So Much

I’ve pursued P-spot pleasure for years and tried almost every toy from the most well-known and recommended companies out there without getting close to the allusive P-spot orgasm I looked for until now. It didn’t happen with the Phanxy right away, and it took some time and experimentation to work out the kinks and find the perfect positioning technique. But unlike all the other toys I’ve tried, the Phanxy didn’t disappoint. Besides shuddering orgasms, I’ve also used this toy to accomplish reliable prostate milking. And to me, that’s where I get the most value from this prostate massager. 

Some believe that long-term orgasm denial can be harmful by causing prostate problems, including increased risk of prostate cancer later in life. The medical research on this is sketchy at best, but I believe it is wise to err on the side of caution. But I’d rather “milk the prostate” than simply orgasm the usual way, and when locked, I typically do it once per month. 

While I have seen no compelling medical evidence it needs to be done once a month, this seems the prevailing wisdom you find on the internet. And since it’s pleasurable, why not? The Phanxy makes it ridiculously easy to accomplish. I have only one other toy in my arsenal I have used for prostate milking that’s been reliable, and it doesn’t work every time. Let’s Talk Penis Piercings and Chastity

Do you have a penis piercing? Have you ever seriously considered getting one?

I don’t have a piercing, but I spend a lot of time vacillating about whether to get one. Anyone who has ever worn a standard ball-trapping chastity device knows that security is an illusion. Sure, a well-fitted, locked cage isn’t going to fall off by itself. But we all know we could escape from a locked device if we wished.

While I’ve never escaped or even tried while under the supervision of a keyholder, I have tried escaping from devices when I review them so I can give an opinion on how secure they are. Some are simply more secure than others. But for a guy who wants true security, a penis piercing, usually a Prince Albert (PA), is a way to get it.

I even know a Pro Domme who won’t take on permanent keyholding for a guy unless he has a PA or is willing to get one. And I’ve read stories from women who hold their husband or partner’s key who persuaded their men to get a PA for optimum security.

So, I’ve thought about getting pierced for the added security, but haven’t reached a firm decision.

There Must Be Sixteen Ways to Pierce Your Penis

We’ll cover the basics since there is no way to know every single person who might read this blog post knows all about penis piercings.

A penis piercing is any type of jewelry inserted into the:

  • glans (head of the penis)
  • foreskin (uncircumcised penises)
  • shaft
  • scrotum

 

At the right is an image I found showing sixteen different types of male genital piercings.

Of course, not all the available options would be applicable to securing a chastity device. The PA is the the most common piercing for chastity device wearers.

Penis Piercing

People get piercings for various reasons, from sexual pleasure to aesthetics. Many years ago, I considered getting a piercing, mostly for the aesthetics. But I was considering a scrotum piercing, sometimes called a “Hafada.” It’s a scrotum piercing that passes through the loose layers of tissue along the scrotum.

Traditionally, this piercing was done in pairs, where the rings rested on either side of the shaft when flaccid. But the piercing now tends to be done along the center seam of the scrotum. It can be done singularly or in multiples. But of course, this type wouldn’t apply to chastity device security, which we’re talking about here.

So lately, I’ve been thing more about getting a penis piercing. While the PA is the most popular piercing for guys wanting true chastity device security, I’m not wild about the idea of having a hole punched through my urethra. And the Price Albert goes in the end of the urethra and exits through a hole on the underside of the penis, where the glans meets the shaft.

While I’ve been thinking more about getting a penis piercing, I’m uncertain about getting a PA, the most popular piercing for guys wanting true chastity device security. The Prince Albert goes in the end of the urethra and exits through a hole on the underside of the penis, where the glans meets the shaft.

There is also a reverse Prince Albert piercing. The names are similar, but they are actually very different. While the PA goes through a small amount of tissue and is quick to heal, the reverse PA is essentially an Apadravya piercing without the Prince Albert. This means that the piercing enters on the top side of the penis (usually centered) and exits out the urethral opening. That makes the healing time for a reverse PA quite a bit longer than for a Prince Albert.

So, yes, the PA seems a little intimidating to me, but I’m not all that squeamish, and I am considering a Prince Albert. But it probably isn’t my first choice.

The Penis Piercing I Most Prefer

The Frenum piercing is what I find most appealing. It’s a common first penis piercing. I’m told they are easy to sit through, and healing tends to be relatively quick and uncomplicated, usually only six to eight weeks.

I like the Frenum from an aesthetic perspective, and it seems it would also work for chastity. It seems the modular chastity device I reviewed that came with a PA hook would also work with a Frenum piercing and a ring. I know some custom chastity device manufacturers that offer hooks specifically for Frenum piercings.

The Frenum is a surface piercing. Traditional placement is through the loose skin on the underside of the penis, slightly back from the frenulum. Placement usually corresponds roughly with the circumcision scar on circumcised men. I’ve read that surface penis piercings are more prone to rejection and migration.

Rejection is when your body treats your jewelry as an irritant and decides to push it out, or “reject” it.

Piercing migration is the process that occurs when a body piercing moves from its initial location. Migration can be painful or go unnoticed until it has progressed. Given enough time, the jewelry may migrate entirely outside of the skin, although it may only migrate a small amount and come to rest.

So far, I’ve only had one short conversation with a piercer. He didn’t seem to know a lot about chastity devices, but after I explained it, he expressed reservations saying he felt concerned that using a Frenum piercing with a chastity device could put too much stress on the piercing since it’s a surface piercing. He also told me that initial jewelry is usually a 10 gauge or 8 gauge barbell, most often 5/8 inches in length. But after healing, I could go to a ring if I was determined to try using the piercing with a chastity device.

So, I’m still vacillating. I love the looks of penis piercings and am curious to try one. But if I choose to get one, I’ll probably get a Frenum piercing first and then maybe that will help me decide about getting a PA later.

Chastity and Sexual Desire in Women and Men

Sex drive refers to a hypothetical construct encompassing one’s attitudes toward sex, sexual desires, and sexual behaviors (Baumeister, 2000).

In long-term relationships, desire differences are almost inevitable.

As much fun as I’m having with the Thirty Days of Chastity meme, I know an uninterrupted thirty day meme can feel tedious to some readers. So for a change of pace, today I’m offering a change of pace and discussing chastity and sexual desire in women and men.

The Myth of Over-Sexed Men

On social media and other places, I often hear women declare men are tediously simple to understand. They claim we are penis-obsessed, sex-crazed oafs, ruled by our genitals instead of our brains. A woman friend of mine once told me that if you understood beer and tits, you understood all there was to know about men. Those judgements many women make about men are not only harsh, but unfair, and well… completely wrong. 

Women who claim they understand men based on our libidos actually only expose their ignorance and complete lack of knowledge. Women are just as incapable of seeing things from a man’s perspective as men similarly cannot see things from a woman’s perspective. We’re the same species, but we are opposites, though complementary rather than opposing forces. Well, most of the time, anyway.

Sexual Desire Differences Are Inevitable

In no area do women differ from men than in their sexual appetites. Generalizations are famously inaccurate, but I think it’s safe to say men typically have higher sex drives, although there are exceptions to every rule. I’ll use my past relationships as examples. Discounting one-night stands and short-term sexual liaisons, I’ve been in eight intimate relationships in my life. 

In five relationships, my sex drive was much higher than my partners. After the “honeymoon period,” sex became more and more infrequent, to the point I often felt I had to beg for sex. In one relationship, my partner’s libido didn’t match mine, but she was a submissive type who believed her role in the relationship was to give me sex whenever I wanted it, whether or not she was in the mood. So, she always accommodated. In the other two relationships, I was with women whose sex drives surpassed mine. They wanted sex more often than I did, which left me sexually satisfied continuously, but also feeling exhausted much of the time.

Sure, it is anecdotal evidence, even so, I think it proves my point. In seventy-five percent of my relationships, my sex drive was significantly higher than that of my female partners. Men typically want sex more often than women. Research backs me up. “Men have a stronger sex drive than women, and this gender difference is evident in cross-cultural research involving men and women from 53 different countries.”(Lippa, 2009) And there is a reason that’s true.

Men and Women are Wired Differently

Evolution has wired men and women differently in our sexual appetites. Depending on mood, stress and hormone levels, women can go for days, weeks, if not longer, without desiring an orgasm. Men aren’t like that.

Sure, women enjoy the rush of pleasure that comes with an orgasm, but it isn’t quite the same as men. When a woman has an orgasm, her body releases some pleasure inducing hormones but those hormones don’t build up over time. Men have physical body parts that fill up over time, and the urge to ejaculate builds relentlessly until they feel an absolute and real need to release their semen. 

Men want sex more often because we have a real, powerful physical urge driving us, the result of hundreds of thousands of years of evolution. More than one woman has told me if men gave birth instead of women, humanity would have gone extinct a long time ago because we couldn’t handle carrying a child to term or the pain of childbirth. While I won’t dispute that, I might add this. If men didn’t have the desire to use their penises regularly for sex, that too would end humanity rather quickly.

It's Simple Biology

Continuously, the testes, the primary male reproductive organs, generate sperm cells through a process called spermatogenesis. And the glands of the male reproductive system produce sperm and seminal fluid. Also, the prostate gland, the seminal vesicles, and the bulbourethral glands produce and contribute seminal fluid to semen, which carries and protects the sperm. Continuous production creates the need to expel semen regularly through ejaculation. It’s not just desire, it’s a definite biological need or imperative. That’s why men are more prone to masturbate frequently than women. Evolution and biology drive the urge to masturbate when the supply of sex with a partner does not meet the biological demand to reduce the building pressure men feel physically to ejaculate.

An Analogy

Let’s use an analogy to help illustrate the difference between men and women in sexual desire. We can compare it to the feeling of hunger. If you have ever fasted or gone on a severe diet, then you know exactly what hunger feels like. You can literally feel you’re starving. The longer you go without food, the more intensely your body physically demands you eat something. My point here is when you are extremely hungry, there is a physical urge driving you to get food. This is precisely how the urge to ejaculate regularly feels for men. The buildup in their reproductive systems drives men to seek frequent sexual release in one way or another. 

Now, instead of feeling starved, imagine you ate a big breakfast and then had a big lunch. Now imagine you have arrived home from work around five and have just changed into comfortable clothes and sat down to relax. A friend calls and asks you to go with them to a favorite steakhouse to have dinner. Well, if you are like most people, that big lunch on top of the big breakfast wasn’t that long ago, and you will not feel very hungry. Do you really want to get dressed to go out and drive across town to eat a steak dinner? Probably not. 

In this state of not feeling hungry, you can still imagine enjoying a wonderful steak dinner, but no urge will exist to propel you to get dressed again and drive across town to get yourself a steak. Women I’ve known well and have discussed it with me have told me that is much the way sex is for a woman. She can imagine the pleasure of sex, but does not necessarily have a physical urge driving her to want to have sex. There you have the primary difference between the male and female sex drives. 

If a woman has a male partner, even if she feels contented in the relationship, if her partner doesn’t know how to seduce her effectively and turn her on sexually, or she feels tired or stressed or not in the mood, then she will have nothing driving her to desire sexual release. While there are exceptions, women often view sex from a more idealistic perspective, such as a desire for closeness and intimacy with her man. But rarely do most women want sex because of any “I must have sex now” physical urge driving it.

The Vicious Male Cycle

This is from my experience, so your mileage may vary. But it probably comes close for most guys. 

Back in chastity after ejaculation…

  • For the first day or two, nothing much is happening. I don’t feel any pressure for release to speak of, so going without sex or masturbation isn’t a problem. 
  • By the third day, I definitely begin feeling the buildup and the biological urge. Usually, I don’t feel actual discomfort yet, just the growing awareness of the need for release as things fill up. 
  • On the fourth or fifth day, I feel slight discomfort from the pressure and aching. It gets increasingly difficult not to think about getting sexual release. 
  • Days six to eight are the hardest for me as the real discomfort begins and I can feel moody or even a little cranky. 
  • For me, around the ninth day, things get easier. Possibly this is because the body eventually breaks down and reabsorbs the sperm cells and seminal fluids and reduces the pressure. I also believe your body and brain eventually get the message ejaculation is not eminent, and the drive lessens. (Some guys report constant “dripping” and even nocturnal emissions (wet dreams) while locked. I experience little dripping and have only had one wet dream as an adult in my entire life, long before I started chastity).
  • Within ten days to two weeks, my sexual energy transmutes into increased productivity and the effects of the constant, elevated sexual arousal become a pleasure of its own.

How Chastity Can Help Bridge the Gap

When you accept the difference between the male and female sex drives, it seems men and women should see the obvious advantages of male chastity. Let’s be honest. Women have always controlled access to and the frequency of sex. It’s only a little more obvious these days. Chastity brings it all out in the open and can solve a host of relationship problems at the same time. With his penis caged and her holding the key, “bargaining” or trying to “guilt” his partner into having sex becomes a thing of the past. And so does the frequent masturbation and porn watching after she goes to bed alone that can be real relationship killers. 

Many guys already want chastity for reasons ranging from sexual fantasy fulfillment to the honest desire to become better, more attentive partners, and everything in between. So, when a man asks his partner to lock him in chastity, even if she might initially find the whole thing weird or kinky, she should thank her lucky stars. If a woman is supportive of her partner’s desires, she usually learns quickly that chastity has as many (if not more benefits) for her as her partner gets out of it.
