male chasity devices

All I Want For Christmas is the Mature Metal Jail Bird

As you may have read in a past post, Male Chastity Devices Selected for 2021 Reviews, I will be wear-testing and reviewing four new male chastity devices in 2021, one device each quarter.

I’ll be reviewing the Mature Metal Jail Bird first as my first-quarter pick. I placed my order today since it takes about six weeks for Mature Metal to fabricate and deliver their male chastity devices. Hopefully, the Jail Bird will hit my mailbox around the first week of February 2021.

The Jail Bird is Mature Metal's Most Popular Device

mature-metal-jail-bird-review

I’ve coveted owning a Jail Bird, Mature Metal’s most popular device, almost since the day I first seriously considered trying chastity. I wanted to order one last year as my first custom-made device, but the key holder I had at the time persuaded me to get the Watchful Mistress instead. I love the Watchful Mistress, but I’ve never stopped wanting a Jail Bird. So, it will be my Christmas gift to me this year.

The Great Thing About a Second Mature Metal Device

Since this will be my second Mature Metal device, I expect the Jail Bird to fit even better since I know a lot more about properly measuring to get the right chastity device fit than I did when I ordered the Watchful Mistress. I should have ordered that one a half-inch shorter, and when I get around to it, I plan to send it back to Mature Metal for the adjustment. Meanwhile, I can’t wait to get my hands on the Jail Bird to take it for a test drive. Look for the review sometime in February.

I want to take a moment to wish all of you who visit Cut To The Chaste a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Hopefully, the COVID-19 crap will be firmly in our rear-view mirrors, and our lives will return to normal during the upcoming year.

Also, I want to thank you all for supporting this website. It’s truly humbling for me that Cut to the Chaste has received more than 27K unique visitors from countries all over the world during our first year. You’ve all helped make Cut to the Chaste one of the most popular male chastity websites on the internet.

In 2021, I will continue to strive to bring you unique and useful male chastity information that I hope will add value to your own chastity experiences.

Holy Trainer Nano Wear Test In Progress

Quick update for those who have been waiting on the Holy Trainer Nano review.

Evidently one of the movers and shakers at USPS follows Cut to the Chaste and read about my dissatisfaction with the speed of the mail deliveries. The Nano showed up my mailbox this afternoon.

At the time of this post, I’ve been wearing it for almost six hours. The comfort is unbelievable and it is so light-weight I can barely feel that it’s on. I can already say the HT Nano ride far surpasses that of the CB-6000S.

Look for a complete review on the device reviews page in a few days.

What is Your Dream Male Chastity Device

What is your dream male chastity device? If money was no object, which cock cage would you buy?

Better judgment, financial responsibility, and a myriad other reasons keep many of us from making the purchase, but that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t love to find out what it’s like actually to lock up our cock in our dream chastity device.

Here are the two devices I dream of owning. Sadly, I’ll never own the first one. It’s fun to lust after, but the price is just too steep for me to ever justify buying it. The other, though not cheap, I plan to own before the end of 2021.

Steelwerks Full Metal Jacket

dream-male-chastity-devices

In my estimation, the Full Metal Jacket by Steelwerks is to handcrafted custom dream chastity devices what the Lamborghini is to dream automobiles. It represents the pinnacle of artistic, custom male chastity inspiration because the grand master of his craft, Chris Miers, has elevated the design and manufacturing of cock cages to an entirely new level of the imagination. This total containment male chastity

monolith is a monument to Steelwerks Extreme’s commitment to individually custom made perfection.

I return to the Steelwerks website again and again to savor the Full Metal Metal Jacket. I salivate and feel those familiar tremors in my loins. But each time, I take a deep breath, step back from the situation, and go through all the reasons, one-by-one for why I simply can’t justify paying that kind of money for a chastity device. If you aren’t familiar with Steelwerks products, they are to my knowledge the most expensive chastity devices on the market. We’re not talking premium quality here, but luxury quality. The Steelwerks line is so expensive, they don’t even list the prices on the website. Here is why, according to the FAQS page on their website.

Because Steelwerks exclusively makes custom devices, we are unable to list prices for items on our site. Our prices are based on the client’s design and individual specifications. While our chastity cages are on the higher end of the market, they can range in price between $1,200.00 to as high as $10,000.00, however many of the cages on the site are in the $1,400.00 to $2,500.00 range.

Like shopping for a Lamborghini, if you have to ask the price, you probably can’t afford a Steelwerks chastity device. The devices are truly works of art, and no doubt worth ever penny. The craftsmanship is amazing. But when it comes to chastity devices, I’m not looking for a sense of validation. Like owning an expensive car, owning an expensive chastity device doesn’t validate anything. It’s simply a symbol of your ability to buy something most people can’t. I’ve never asked for a quote on the Full Metal Jacket. I didn’t want to waste their time knowing I wasn’t a buyer. But I’d be surprised if it wasn’t somewhere in the $2,500 to $3,500 range.

What I love most about the Full Metal Jacket is the total containment factor. It not only encases your cock in stainless steel, but fully encloses your balls as well. For some reason I find that massively hot. Steelwerks does offer another total confinement model called the Alchemist with the radical full metal testicular containment feature they call the castanet. The Alchemist is manufactured from lighter-weight titanium instead of stainless steel and dubbed as Steelwerks “most exclusive model.” No doubt that means it is even more pricey than the Full Metal Jacket which is crafted from surgical grade stainless steel.

Not that I’d ever wish to see anyone copy Steelwerks beautiful, artistic, and innovative designs, but I suspect at some point, someone will come out with a less expensive chastity device that includes some type of testicular containment. I suppose I’ll just have to wait for that to experience it.

I don’t have permission to post the image here, but if you want to see an image on the Steelwerks website showing the the Full Metal Jacket doing its work click here.

The Sissy Cage From Red Chili

My other dream chastity device at the moment is a work of art in its own right, yet available at a more forgiving price point. It is the Red Chili custom-made Sissy Cage at www.malechastity-devices.com.

While feminization is not one of my kinks and I’m not looking to get more in touch with my feminine side, I really love the Sissy Cage for two reasons. I’m attracted by the extreme angle of the cage that forces the cock to follow the curvature of the scrotum.

I don’t have permission to post the image here, but to see an image on the Red Chili website showing the Sissy Cage in use you can click here.

dream-male-chastity-devices
Image Source www.malechastity-devices.com - Fair Use 17 USC Section 107

The other thing I like is because of the extreme curvature, the Sissy Cage is a very low profile device which won’t produce much of a chastity bump at all. That’s important to those of us who prefer to wear our cock cages in the stealth mode.

Red Chili chastity devices are manufactured in France and Spain, so the Sissy Cage comes in at 285€, including shipping, for those living outside Europe. At the current rate of exchange that’s about $338.00 USD, on par with most devices offered by other custom manufacturers. I’ll be adding this cage to my collection and reviewing it during 2021.

I’m Back In The Chastity Saddle Again

As of Thursday, June 11, I’m back in the chastity saddle again, locked by my new keyholder who we’ll call Goddess Camille. This time we’ve agreed to a full one-month lock up. It feels good to be under the steady hand of GC once again after a few days of self-locking while wear testing the CB-6000.

Whoopi-ty-aye-yay

I go my way

Back in the saddle again

I’m also sporting a new chastity cage for the month, the Amicus from Male Chastity Now (MCN) that I recently purchased. I have to say I already love this cage, though I made errors when I ordered it.

An Amicus Experiment Gone Wrong

I’ve thought for a while now that I needed to try some new things—a 1/4-inch cage to base ring gap rather than my usual 3/8-inch gap, and an oval-shaped instead of a round base ring. Also, because my Mature Metal Watchful Mistress turned too much when I wore it with a plastic numbered lock for the first time, I thought I’d drop down to a 1-5/8 inch base ring in hopes of solving that problem. Since the MCN devices have an identical mechanism for mating the cage to the ring as MM, I decided to change all three variables when I ordered the Amicus. Mark at MCN delivered precisely what I asked for. Unfortunately, through no fault of his, it didn’t work at all.

I’ve worn a 1-5/8 inch base ring before without problems. But, I’ve never worn an oval-shaped ring, which I learned makes a significant difference. As soon as I put the ring on, I knew it was too tight. The middle of the ring behind my ball sack put a lot of compression on a spot where it didn’t feel good at all. I toughed it out for an hour, hoping it was only a new sensation I’d acclimate to, but it only got worse with time. So, immediately, I went back to the MCN site and ordered my usual 1-7/8 inch round base ring.

A Welcome Discovery

Since I’d hoped to get the Amicus in time for my first full month with GC and did, I was bummed about ordering a base ring that didn’t work. But, after taking off the ring, I noticed something. It looked very much like the base rings for my MM device. Would the rings interchange, I wondered? I grabbed my MM 1-7/8 inch round ring. Parts from different chastity devices NEVER interchange. But, to my surprise, the MM ring fit like a champ. Problem solved! I put on the MM base ring, put the cage back on, and it fit like a glove.

The Amicus Device

I’ll be doing a full review once I’ve worn the Amicus for a while, but I’ll share a few details here.

As noted on the MCN website, the Amicus is a semi-custom device meaning it is not fully customizable. MCN uses pre-made cages they get from a manufacturer in China. But, whoa Nelly! These cages are definitely nothing like the made in China cages I’ve seen in the past. They are high end, 316 surgical-grade stainless steel with smooth, symmetric welds. Similar to the Mature Metal cages, the Amicus cage is polished to a high gloss finish inside and out.

MCN uses the outsourced pre-made cages so they can offer a near custom-made product at a less expensive price point. The company does manufacture the stainless steel base rings to order. The only thing that keeps the Amicus from being a custom-made device is you can’t customize the internal diameter of the cage. They all come in the standard 1-1/4 inch size. For me, that wasn’t a problem. I usually wear devices with a 1-3/8 inch ID, but the 1-1/4 works fine. For someone new to the chastity lifestyle and on a budget, this is an ideal situation.

There are plenty of options available for the Amicus. You can get the base ring with a specific ID (1-5/8 – 2-1/4), a customized ring-to-cage gap (1/4, 3/8, or 1/2), And, there are three different cage lengths to choose from that will accommodate flaccid penis lengths from two to three inches. You also have a choice between a padlock or a security screw.

MCN Quality And Service

From an aesthetic point of view, I loved the looks of my Amicus right out of the box. The craftsmanship and quality, in my estimation, compares most favorably with that of my MM device.

Shipping was unbelievably fast! Four days after I placed my order, the Amicus was in my mailbox. I’m wearing the device for the third day, after sleeping in it the last two nights. I haven’t had a single problem with it since I worked out my base ring ordering error. The cage fits me perfectly. I absolutely would not hesitate to buy from MCN again. That’s great for me since I ordered the Amicus as a trial run before ordering MCN’s fully customizable Contender. I’m sure I’ll be doing that soon since I am delighted with my first MCN experience.

If you’re in the market for a quality stainless steel chastity cage with a price that won’t break the bank, have a look at the Amicus. Though it’s not fully custom, it’s a great semi-custom option at an excellent price.

Also, if you make a measurement mistake or want minor adjustments, no worries. Mark, the owner of MCN, is very responsive, knowledgeable, and will give you a quick turnaround, based on what some of my other chastity friends who buy from him have told me.

I’ll be posting a full review of the Amicus soon, and I’ll be providing updates to my one-month lock up for GC.

CB-6000 Review Coming Soon

Note from Chaste: The following post has been updated with a link to the CB-6000 review.

So, CB-X has this inventory clearance sale going. I ordered a device. In the next week or so, I’ll be sharing a CB-6000 review.

My very first chastity device was a CB-6000 knock-off that some foreign manufacturer had made from stainless steel. I bought it because I liked the look and wanted a steel device. But it never worked for me since it didn’t come with the multiple spacers and base rings CB-X provides with the genuine polycarbonate article.

The thing came with only one base ring and one spacer. One of the other of my balls would pop after I wore the thing for an hour or two, then it would fall off. Being totally new to chastity devices at the time, I didn’t realize it, but the problem was the gap between the base ring and tube was too wide for me. I’ve always thought it might have worked if I’d only had the extra ring and spacer options.

Having read Thumper’s CB-6000 review, I’m not expecting much. Though I’ve never met him, I have tremendous respect for Thumper. I’ve always found his insightful blog such a valuable resource. I think he did an excellent job with pointing out the CB-6000’s significant flaws—”a hard-edged A-ring that is uncomfortable, unnecessary side vents that lead to flesh bulging through, lack of an ergonomic shape.” In Thumper’s opinion, the CB-6000 is “a relic from another era.”

I don’t doubt the accuracy of anything Thumper wrote in his review of the device. But, for a couple of reasons, I wanted to try the CB-6000 and review it. First, despite its shortcomings, the CB devices were the first popular mass-produced chastity devices. And, a lot of guys still choose the CB-6000 as their first device, though it seems The Holy Trainer has since eclipsed it in popularity as a trainer. And, frankly, I’m a curious sort of fellow who will try anything once. Getting a CB-6000 at a time when I could save thirty bucks on the genuine device seemed as good a time as any to buy one and give it a test drive.

Hopefully, the device will show up sometime this upcoming week. I’ve already worked it out with my keyholder to switch over to it for a few days to review it. So, for anyone thinking about getting a CB-6000, soon you will have another review to consider.

Until now, all but one of my reviews have been on steel chastity devices, so it seems time to do a few on the plastic ones. I’ll probably review The Holy Trainer next. After that, I have my eye on another custom-made steel device I want to try.

Watchful Mistress Chastity Device Arrived

My Watchful Mistress chastity device from Mature Metal arrived, and I’ve been wearing it for almost a week. I love it so far, but in fairness haven’t had it long enough to do a full review just yet. Still, it’s been a while since I’ve posted, so I thought I’d talk about it a little.

watchful-mistress
Watchful Mistress by Mature Metal

I’ve been busy working on Females of Vulvar, the fantasy science fiction novel I mentioned in the previous post, which is why I haven’t gotten around to posting lately. Also, I think that as I approach the second full month of being locked and denied, chastity is no longer consuming my every waking thought as it did at the beginning. Not that I find it less appealing, it has just become such a normal part of life for me. I don’t constantly think about as I once did.

I have found it super easy to forget I’m wearing a chastity device since I put on the Watchful Mistress. It fits perfectly, it’s light-weight for a stainless steel device, and I’ve found it amazingly comfortable. The craftsmanship is rather breathtaking in comparison to the lower end devices I’ve worn previously. Yes, a custom-crafted chastity device is a big investment. But, in my opinion, this thing of beauty from Mature Metal seems worth every penny.

While Mature Metal offers a security screw option for the Watchful Mistress, I opted to go with the Abus padlock option. The center pin on the base ring and the receiver on the cage are drilled precisely to achieve a tight fit with the shackle of the lock.

This takes some getting used to. You have to get all three holes (the one in the center pin and those on either side of the receiver) perfectly aligned to get the shackle inserted. If things are even a little bit off, the tip of the shackle won’t slide through the three holes.

Another thing the very precise tolerance means when going with the padlock option is you really have to go with the Abus padlock. The way the device is designed, the tight fit with the specific diameter of the Abus shackle, helps keep the cage properly aligned with the base ring.

I experimented with a couple of other padlocks I had on hand, both of which had slightly smaller diameter shackles. Both allowed the cage to twist slightly, which opened the gap between the cage and base ring on the side, which could allow for ball slippage. But, sticking with the Abus padlock, the device comes with (for a small additional charge) makes the device fit perfectly. I’ve even been able to move up to a slightly larger and more comfortable base ring with this device. That’s because it has been built with such tight tolerances.

Overall, using the Mature Metal measurement guide when I ordered the device has provided me with a permanent chastity device I’m confident I’m going to be happy with for years to come. The inside diameter is perfect, as is the base ring size I ordered.

I do wish I’d ordered the cage about a half-inch shorter. While I did my best to get accurate measurements before ordering, the cage is usually about a half-inch too long when my penis is at its flaccid smallest. Of course, there is a possibility that I’ve experienced a bit fo shrinkage since I ordered the device.

At some point, I may return the device to Mature Metal and pay them to have it shortened. That’s another advantage of going with a custom-made device. You can send it in to have anything but the diameter of the cage adjusted. You must get that right the first time.

The slight extra length isn’t a real problem other than from an aesthetic point of view. LJ likes the look of a full cage and immediately said the cage was too long when I put it on the first time.

In conclusion, I’m really happy with my new Mature Metal chastity device so far. In another week or two, look for a complete wear-tested review.

New chastity cages on the way

I can’t believe I haven’t posted about this already since I’m really pumped about it. But, my first custom-fitted, custom made chastity device has been ordered from Mature Metal. Hopefully, it will be showing up in my mailbox within a month or so.

After discussing it with Lady Jayne, we decided on the Watchful Mistress. Mature metal recommends this model for long-distance relationships as it has an open design which makes it easy to clean without removing the device. It’s also advertised to be discreet under clothing and so lightweight and comfortable you forget you’re wearing it. All the reviews I read from those who own the device were super positive.

watchful-mistress

Mature Metal Watchful Mistress

If left up only to me, I probably would have gone with the Jail Bird, which I like just as much. But, Lady Jayne considered it far too plain for her tastes. At any rate, I’m stoked to get my hands on one of the quality crafted cages from Mature Metal. Not to mention, Watchful Mistress was on my top three list.

I’ve also placed an order for another lower-end device with Lady Jayne’s blessing, which we intend to try out while waiting for the Watchful Mistress to arrive. It’s coming from Koalaswim.com Chastity Store, a company I’ve ordered from before.

Lady Jayne is definitely not a fan of low-end cages but allowed me to order the Man Trap to try until my permanent custom cage arrives. It too is an open design stainless steel cage which I hope will have a gap that fits me better. It is also the exact same length as the cage I ordered from Mature Metal so it will give me a chance to check my measurements.

man-trap chastity device

Man Trap

The cage I’ve worn for most of the thirty-day chastity introduction with Lady Jayne has worked well enough for the most part. But, it is about an inch too long, and I’ve always hated the solid end cap with its “shower-head” effect when I need to pee. The fact that the cage is too long makes that issue even worse. Also, since going to the larger 45mm (1.75 inches) base ring, I’ve had ball slippage twice now which is a real pain. Hopefully, the Man Trap will solve those issues until the permanent device is built and delivered.

Once I get the Man Trap and have had a chance to wear it, I’ll be posting a review.

Houston we have a problem

I hadn’t planned on posting another update until the 72-hour mark. But, Houston, we had big chastity device problems.

Things were going so swimmingly, I expected it to continue. But, at around five yesterday afternoon on my first real day in chastity, I lost my right nut.

I wasn’t even aware it happened until Lady Jayne, who for the sake of brevity, will be known from this point forward as LJ, asked for a photo. She wanted to check that my color was still good and there weren’t any circulation issues. I dropped trou to take the photo with my phone and that’s when I discovered righty had gone AWOL. It had slipped the ring and then hidden itself up inside me. I tried to coax it back through the ring, but it was a no-go. I had to cut the lock and remove the device to sort it out.

Weirdly, there was absolutely no sensation associated with the wayward nut. Everything felt copacetic. The damn device had felt so secure. Anyway, I put it back on and locked up with a new plastic numbered lock, thinking it was only a fluke. But it wasn’t.

About four hours later, I was sitting in my recliner watching football. Sure as fuck, my right nut popped right out of the base ring again. I wasn’t having an erection of anything. One minute it was inside the ring. The next, it was hiding again up inside me. That time I did feel a slight twinge when it happened.

After talking it over with LJ, we concluded the base ring was too big. Buying an off-the-shelf device, I had only three choices in base rings; a 1.50 inch (40mm), 1.75 inch (45mm), or 2.00 inch (50mm). I’d purchased a cheap device earlier with a 40mm base ring but hadn’t been able to get the ring on. I’d also tried on a 50mm standard behind the scrotum cock ring when checking sizes. It was too big. So, by process of elimination, I ordered the new device with a 45mm base ring. Without the option of a custom-fit ring, the 45mm seemed the right choice. Evidently not.

LJ was tied up with Christmas Eve guests when I lost my ball the second time. So, I took the initiative. I pulled out the cheap device (made in China) I’d bought previously with the 40mm ring. My thinking was if 45mm was too big, the 40mm had to fit unless I was one of those unlucky guys between sizes who has to have a custom-size base ring. Low and behold, the damn 40mm went right on, no sweat.

Later when we touched base, LJ was skeptical. She didn’t see I could suddenly fit into a 40mm ring that I’d been unable to get on before even using a lubricant. She was concerned about circulatory issues cropping up. But, she graciously gave me permission to try wearing it on the condition I took it off at bedtime. She is super safety conscious and wouldn’t risk me wearing the smaller ring to bed having worn it for such a short time. So, that’s what we did.

Christmas morning, I put the 40mm ring and the cheap device back on. I had to work it a bit more than on the night before, but it went on easy enough. My nutsack is the type that is really tight up against my base and likes to stay that way, especially first thing in the morning. But, once I got things stretched out a little, the ring went on and it was all good.

I’ve had this device on for about eight hours as of publication time. It’s simple and cheap, but actually I kind of like it. For one thing, it weighs a ton less than the other device that wouldn’t stay on me. LJ and I chatted briefly about me ordering a new custom-fitted device now that I may have finally figured out my true base ring size, or close to it. I’m feeling confident about the 40mm.

For one thing, I read Thumper’s blog religiously, Denying Thumper, and just based on the images he shares, I’d be willing to bet we’re about the same size. He has said 40mm is his standard base ring size, so from the get-go, I couldn’t understand why I had trouble getting the 40mm ring on before. I’m thinking it must have been because of my tight scrote. Wearing the bigger, heavier device for a day and a half, I think stretched things just enough so I could get into the 40mm ring.

Previously, I shared in this post the insights from an experienced key holder who advises this when buying a custom-fitted device.

“The main option is the length (short is good actually buy one way shorter than you think you should as well) the other critical size is the base ring buy that in the size you think is right and also the next two smaller sizes. Sure go ahead, start with the one that’s easy to get on. There’s a good chance it will eventually fall off even without trying. Go smaller, go a lot smaller, then go even smaller.” ─ Chastity Perkins

I’m definitely taking Chastity’s advice when I order my custom device. I’ll get a 40mm base ring and the next two smaller sizes. From what I’ve read, it seems an accepted fact that the weight of stainless steel devices does stretch the scrotum over time. So, Chastity’s take, based on her experience with her husband, makes perfect sense to me.

Meanwhile, I think now I’ll be able to get by with my cheap, made in China replacement until I get my hands on a high-quality custom-fitted device.

Rocking the cheap, made in China model

Hope everyone is having, or had happy holidays. Thanks for reading.

Size matters

Size matters when it comes to choosing a male chastity device. It’s crucial. When choosing a standard two-piece device made up of a tube or cage, and a base ring, the size of both components are important.

If a base ring is too large, it could actually fall off, or at least you could fall out of it without trying. Too tight and it will be uncomfortable, it might chafe and cause raw, irritated skin, or even compromise circulation. Similar issues can crop up with an improperly sized tube.

Given the variances in the human male body, the importance of proper sizing suggests a custom made device built to exact specifications is always going to be the best option. Unfortunately, it is also a pricey option and not every guy interested in experiencing male chastity is going to be able to fit a custom device into his budget.

Like me, I’m sure a lot of guys have gone with the off-the-shelf option, at least for a first device. If it doesn’t fit well, it becomes a matter of either biting the bullet and investing in a custom made device or buying a different mass-produced model that may provide a better fit.

As I mentioned in the “Male chastity expectations versus reality” post, proper sizing was certainly a major concern of mine when getting started. Since then, I found an attention-grabbing article on Medium about sizing written by a female key holder, Chastity Perkins. She enforces chastity for her husband. Here is what she wrote that I found so interesting.

“…finding the right device and, more importantly, the right size which will be far smaller than the one you think is “too tight.” It’s best to choose a male chastity device that you think is the right size and then also get two sizes smaller in the various parts available.

The main option is the length (short is good actually buy one way shorter than you think you should as well) the other critical size is the “base ring” buy that in the size you think is right and also the next two smaller sizes. Sure go ahead, start with the one that’s easy to get on. There’s a good chance it will eventually fall off even without trying. Go smaller, go a lot smaller, then go even smaller.

After a week or so of this routine, it’s not only dulling that awareness but also conditioning the body to not constantly fight the chastity device. During this period, there’s a good chance that you’ll need to use a smaller device, smaller ring, smaller. Not sure? Go smaller. Go as small as can possibly be MADE to fit as long as nothing is turning colors.”1

The idea a guy will acclimate to smaller and smaller sizes over time than he started with is something I haven’t come across before. Not only that, the rest of Perkins’ article indicates this occurs relatively quickly.

Here is my biggest takeaway from this. Buying a custom-fitted chastity device sooner rather than later might actually be the less expensive way to go. Most mass-produced steel devices come with only one base ring. While moderately priced, if you have to keep buying a new one frequently, it seems it may not take long to spend more than the cost of a custom device.

Also, with custom made devices, in most cases, I have found you can purchase a new ring of a different size from the manufacturer if needed without having to buy a whole new device. This isn’t usually an option with cheaper off-the-shelf models.

It seems there is always more to learn once you get started with male chastity. One thing for sure is I now have even more of an appreciation for how much size matters when choosing a properly fitted device.

Chastity devices I like and why

This post was updated on 02.15.2021

Back in December 2019 when I wrote this post, “Chastity devices I like and why,” I was just getting started with male chastity. I made my selections almost purely based on aesthetics since I really knew very little about choosing a good male chastity device back then. Also, I hadn’t worn any of the devices I included in the post, but now I’ve worn and reviewed all but one of them. Here you can read all my reviews. But below you will find links to the specific devices.

Interestingly, even though I knew little about chastity cages back when I wrote the post, as it turns out I actually made some very good choices.

While I didn’t remove any of the three original devices I listed on this post back in 2019, I have made one addition because I have since acquired a new favorite.

The Original Post

While I’ve already chosen my device for my introduction to male chastity, I suppose it is never too early to start thinking about what I’d like to get down the road should I decide to take a deeper dive into enforced male chastity.

In this post, I’m sharing the three four devices I like best right now, and why. Assuming my thirty-day introduction goes well and I find chastity to be something I am truly passionate about, as long as my key holder gives me permission to change, I’ll definitely be looking to acquire one of these devices.

Please note, I have no affiliation with the  companies mentioned in this post, and have not been paid to recommend any of the devices mentioned. All opinions expressed are my own. Prices were current at the time of publication.

The first device I find truly impressive is the Watchful Mistress by Mature Metal. It isn’t cheap at $370.00, but I could fit it into my budget. It is constructed of surgical grade stainless steel. Best of all, like all Mature Metal devices, it is custom-built to your specifications.

With this particular model, you can choose cage inside diameter, base ring inside diameter, length, the width of the gap between the cage, and the shape (oval or round). It can be designed to be secured with a padlock or security set screw.

Jail Bird

The Jail Bird is Mature Metal’s most popular design, and I do like it too. It’s also $50.00 less than the Watchful Mistress at $320.00, and offers all the same customization options. But, what draws me to the Watchful Mistress is Mature Metal’s claim that it is their most lightweight and compact model, which makes it perfect for 24/7/365 wear. Still, the Jail Bird stays on my shortlist for my next device.

Holy Trainer Nub

While I’m most attracted to steel devices at the moment, there is one resin device that I find very intriguing, the Holy Trainer Nub. What I like most about this device is the super small size. So small in fact, once it’s locked on the penis virtually disappears.

You can’t truly appreciate how small this device is from the above Holy Trainer website image. But, by clicking on this link to the Denying Thumper website, you can appreciate the tiny size of it by taking a look at the device while it’s being worn by Thumper. I can only provide a link since the image belongs to Thumper, and I don’t have permission to post it here.

I find the compact size truly amazing, and in Thumper’s detailed review of the Nub, he swears it is very comfortable to wear even though it may not look like it is. This would be a great option for air travel since the Nub is made of resin instead of metal. I also think it would be a great device to wear when running or at the gym. The Nub is available from Holy Trainer for $165.00 and comes in a variety of colors.

Amicus

The Amicus by Male Chastity Now is the new addition to my male chastity device line up. I didn’t even know about the Male Chastity Now Company back in 2019 when I published the original post. When I did discover the company, I bought an Amicus and from the moment I put it on, it became one of my most favorite stainless steel devices.

Amicus is a “near” custom chastity device since MCN offers several sizing options with it. You can’t customize it to the extent of a Mature Metal device, but you do get a lot of options with this very reasonably priced device. For that reason, the Amicus is vastly superior to any of the off the shelf, mass-produced cock cages available and it doesn’t cost much more.
