The Kink3D Fusion Pink Cobra Has Landed and DD Update

The Kink3D Fusion Pink Cobra N+ that I ordered during the Kink3D Black Friday sale arrived yesterday. My first impressions of the new device and a DD update in today’s post.

While I never expected to justify the spend for one of the Kink3D Fusion Pink models, the 20% off Black Friday sale persuaded me to pull the trigger. I still think the price is a little higher than it should be, but it’s a nice device and the color is insane. It showed up two days earlier than promised, but a day too late for my first lock with Amanda.

Kink3D Fusion Pink Cobra First Impressions

Fusion Pink is very pink indeed, pretty much a hot pink. And I sort of like it. I moved up one size from my black Cobra N to the N+ model and wish a little I’d ordered the small size instead. But the N+ is slightly longer and roomier. The best thing is now that I have both a black and fusion pink model, I can save $40 if I ever decide to get another model by ordering just the cage and using my existing Kink3D base rings. I also ordered another Airlock accessory in the fusion pink so I can use the new device with plastic, numbered locks.

The finish on this device, both the cage and base ring, doesn’t feel quite as smooth to the touch as those of my black Cobra. You can probably even see in the above photo what I’m talking about. The device images are of my actual device. I assume the new color is responsible for that, although I have no inside knowledge about the manufacturing process and am only speculating.

The finish isn’t rough by any stretch, but is definitely less smooth. In fact, I expect the base ring to feel a little grippier than the one belonging to my black N model. That could be good or bad, but it will be a week before I find out.

One change Amanda has made to my usual routine is she requires a weekly hygiene unlock for cleaning. And she has already given me permission to try out the new device after my hygiene unlock next Saturday. If it feels okay, which I expect it will, I’ll finish the month wearing it and post a review once I have a good feel for it.

Denial December Update

I’m three days in to DD with Amanda and things couldn’t be better. She has been all the things as a keyholder I’ve missed about Lucie. She isn’t the same as Lucie, of course, as she lacks the sadist bit. But that’s okay. While Lucie’s sadistic bent kept me on my toes, I’m growing fond of Amanda’s style of dominance, which is a little more on the nurturing side than cruel.

Lucie had her days when she was wonderfully caring and kind, but also days she was in the mood to be heartless and cruel. In contrast, Amanda is kind and caring all the time and has more of a correction philosophy than a punishment mindset when you don’t quite perform to her expectations. But like Lucie, she is a bit of a perfectionist, something I’ve noticed in many dominant women. Perhaps it is the nature of the beast, so to speak. At any rate, I couldn’t be happier thus far.

The best part is during November my desire really plateaued at a low level, but in only three days Amanda already has me back in the groove at the heightened levels Lucie always sustained. DD promises to be far more of a challenge than NNN was for me and I’m loving it.

We’re working out the details, but Amanda and I have already agreed we both want to finish December together and then we’ll see what comes next. I’m already feeling the trust and chemistry developing and I’m very hopeful Amanda offers the permanence I’ve been looking for.

Hope everyone taking part in DD is having a good month so far. Just 28 days to go.

31 Days of Chastity Meme Day 2: Your Chastity Device

I’ve acquired quite a few chastity devices over the past four years. Some I rarely wear anymore, but I have several favorites I alternate through. But for today’s questions for this 31 Days of Chastity Meme, I will focus on the device I’m wearing for Locktober 2023.

What sort of chastity device or belt do you wear? What are your likes and dislikes about it?

Besides the general feeling of comfort, there are many things I like about my Cobra N. Since I am a fanatic about hygiene, I like the open, cage-style design, which allows me to keep the cage and contents clean during extended wear without having to remove it. Mostly I just use soap and a handheld shower head to keep things tidy. But recently, I bought a plastic squeeze bottle with a pointed tip (sort of like the condiments bottles you see in some restaurants) that I now use. First, I fill the bottle with warm, soapy water and flush the interior of the Cobra through every opening. Then I refill the bottle with plain, warm water and repeat the flushing process a couple more times. I’m uncertain this is actually necessary since the showering seems to good a good job. But I feel better about wearing a plastic cage for long periods without removal and feel more confident I’m keeping things sparkling clean by using the squeeze bottle once each week.

The fit of the Cobra is something else I like about the device. Having a chubby flaccid penis, I ordered the wide version of the Cobra, which gives the contents a little extra room. It is still a snug fit, but doesn’t feel as tight as the regular version. The extra

Kink3D Cobra N doing the Locktober thing

width also allows my peen to do its natural expansion and contraction thing without getting stuck during the contractions, so the tip of the glans always stays firmly in contact with the urination outlet. That means I can stand and pee in the usual way without making a mess and my bladder empties more fully than when I sit to urinate.

I love the size of the Cobra N, which fits me as perfectly as any of the custom-fitted stainless steel devices I own. It’s absolutely the perfect length and Kink3D offers such a great variety of base ring sizes that I have the perfect size base ring based on my specific measurements. The device is so light that even when my scrotum is soft, allowing my balls to dangle a bit, the base ring stays firmly against my lower abdomen, unlike some of the heavier stainless steel devices I sometimes wear. The thing really couldn’t fit better or feel more comfortable.

Finally, I love the design of the Cobra. It angles downward, which makes for a low profile so that the device doesn’t print itself against the crotch of my pants or shorts. Even when I wear athletic shorts, there is no noticeable bulge. The finish of the material has a silky feel to it, which also adds to the comfort.

While the question also asks about dislikes, literally there is not one thing I dislike about the Cobra device. Kink3D makes the device from high-quality material and excellent craftsmanship. I can’t imagine how the company could improve on the design. But I will say I think the company prices the Cobra a little higher than it needs to be, especially since the price increases with every size.

I would love to try the Cobra Baby and would enjoy having one of the new Fusion Pink models. But even though I can afford to pay Kink3D prices, I just find it hard to justify spending that much on a plastic, non-custom device, more than once. So, unless Kink3D lowers the prices or at least runs an occasional sale, I probably won’t purchase a second or third Cobra model. I understand Kink3D offered discounts on booth sales at this year’s San Francisco Folsom Street Fair, so I can’t imagine why they can’t offer occasional discounts to the rest of the company’s loyal customer base. I feel so strongly about this that I have already ordered another less expensive 3D printed device from a UK competitor instead of buying a second Cobra. Frankly, I don’t enjoy feeling I am being taken advantage of by any company by having to pay more than I should so they can make more profits, no matter how much I might love the company’s products.

Please share with us in the comments about the device you wear and what you like and dislike about it. And tune in again tomorrow for Day 3 of the 31 Days of Chastity Meme, when I will answer:

How did you get into Chastity? Write about any experiences that, in retrospect, hinted at your kinks.

Day 1: What Does Chastity Mean to You?

Does the Kink3D Cobra Chastity Device Finally Have a Challenger?

Often imitated but never duplicated, the Kink3D Cobra is one of the most popular chastity devices on the market. While lower-priced (but lower quality) counterfeit Cobra devices abound, the Cobra remains popular even though the device is among the priciest plastic, non-custom devices available. That is mostly because of the lack of any actual competition. But that may be about to change.

The Kink3D Cobra is arguably the most comfortable, high-quality 3D printed chastity device available. Because of its popularity, the Cobra is often imitated but never duplicated. Yes, you can find some decent knock-offs, but none that offer the quality of the Kink3D original. For that reason, the Cobra has had no real competition. That has allowed the device to remain among the priciest, non-custom options on the market.

I paid $160 for my Cobra N chastity kit about four or five months ago. Today it goes for $170. Prices for the original black Cobra model range from $160 for the Baby to $200 for the BFG. With the rollout of the fusion pink model, Kink3D tacked on another $40 for the new color option across the board for the eight available sizes.

Not everyone can afford to buy an original Cobra at those prices. But it appears Kink3D sells plenty of the devices at current prices since prices are increasing, not going down. I’ve never heard of the company offering even an occasional market-wide discount like other manufacturers do. Not even for special events occasions like Locktober. The Cobra pricing strategy seems to be “whatever the market will bear” and I don’t expect that to change until a legitimate competitor appears. Well, that day may have come. Introducing the 3D printed Black Hera Chastity Kit available from House of Denial.

Like the Cobra, the first in House of Denial’s exclusive new Olympus line of male chastity devices, the Hera, is manufactured of high-quality Nylon 12 using the latest 3D printing technology and boasts first rate quality finishing. The Hera, like the Cobra, also incorporates snap fitting locking pins, which hold the cage and base ring together while you reach for the lock and key. They make the device in the UK. And best of all, the price (at today’s exchange rate) of the Hera across all six cage sizes (XS-XXL) is about $121 USD (£99.99).

I’ve ordered the extra small (XS) Hera to wear test and review (saving about 29% over a comparable size Cobra) so I can soon offer a valid Hera versus my Cobra comparison review. Based on the image and measurements provided on the House of Denial website, I expect the XS is very close to the size of my Cobra N. Like the Cobra, the Hera kit comes with one base ring (12 sizes, 36mm-60mm, available), and the same type internal (Magic-lock style) lock with two keys. The Hera is also available with a Hexlock screw locking system at the same price.

While I ordered the black Hera, the device is also available in “stately white with a subtle quartz effect finish” for the same price.

As you can see from the comparison images, the Hera design looks very similar to the Cobra, but the device is not just another Cobra knock-off. This device could develop the same type of loyal following as the Kink3D device, especially with its more favorable price point. That depends, of course, on whether the quality and fit of the Hera matches that of the Cobra. Having purchased off-the-shelf devices from House of Denial in the past and being well satisfied with them, I’m confident the Hera will match up well. And if it does, the Kink3D Cobra may finally have some real competition from a similar quality 3D printed device at a better price.

Stay tuned for the Hera review, which will appear here soon after Locktober 2023 ends.

Chastity Device Recommendations for Beginners

Recently, I received an email from a blog reader asking which chastity device I’ve reviewed that I recommend for someone trying chastity for the first time. I’ve addressed that question here before, but I understand it’s easier to email than to page through the 178 posts I’ve written and published to date to find the answer. And, to be honest, I’ve changed my mind slightly since visiting this topic the last time. So, with Locktober fast approaching, it seems a good time to revisit chastity device recommendations for beginners.

I still stand by my previous recommendation that the Holy Trainer is one of the best choices for chastity device beginners. That’s because it is a high-quality device offering great comfort overall and particularly the most comfortable base ring I’ve ever worn thanks to its ergonomic design. I also like the fact that the end of the cage that is closest to the body extends a short distance through and past the base ring. That, combined with the tight fit of the cage, makes the Holy Trainer harder to slip out of while locked. It’s not absolutely secure. No ball-trap device is without an incorporated piercing, but the Holy Trainer feels more secure than many other devices.

Having now worn a Kink3D Cobra N for almost two straight months, it is my new second pick as one of the most beginner-friendly chastity devices. It is also a very comfortable, light-weight cage. Kink3D also offers a wider cage option with all models except the Baby Cobra for guys with above average girth. With the Holy Trainer, everyone gets the standard 33 mm internal diameter cage except for the Maxi model (35 mm). Kink3D doesn’t publish specs down to the internal diameter of the Cobra to protect the company’s intellectual property, but the standard size is around 37 mm and the wide option is larger than that. I can’t say what the internal diameter of my wide model is exactly since I haven’t measured it.

Kink3D also offers three different base ring types; standard round, the XD (extra thick), and curved. I’m a guy with average-size, high and tight balls and have learned from experimentation that only the standard round ring works for me. The XD thicker ring makes the gap tighter and too tight for me. The curved ring, even the smallest size I can get on (41. 3 mm), allows ball escapes.

For price comparison, you can get any Holy Trainer model for $165. Kink3D Cobra kits (ring, cage, & lock) are pricier and the price goes up with the size, ranging from $160 for the Baby Cobra to $200 for the BFG. If you have a hankering for the new Fusion Pink color devices, expect to pay even more; from $200 for the Baby Cobra to $240 for the Cobra BFG. Sorry, for a plastic device, that’s just obscene. I like the new color, but I’d never pay that much for any plastic device. At $240, you are very close to the price of a custom-made device you know will fit you exactly.

I’ve been curious about the Kink3D pricing strategy since I first learned about the company and its devices. I suspect they view Holy Trainer and CB-X as their primary competitors and used the prices of those devices as a starting point. Kink3D also uses the modern 3D printing technology to fabricate the Cobra, which is more expensive than injection molding.

The cost of 3D printers and printing has dropped sharply during the last decade, but the current technology costs and quality of the printing Kink3D uses probably explain part of the higher prices. Still, I think Cobra prices could be significantly lower and still generate substantial profits for the company. That’s because I have purchased Cobra knock-offs that are 3D printed and of nearly the same printing quality for $35 or less. If those manufacturers are making a profit at that price point, I don’t see how Kink3D justifies the current prices. I hope the company will lower the prices in the future or at least run an occasional sale. I think that would encourage more guys to buy the original rather than one of the cheap Cobra counterfeits produced mostly by China manufacturers.

Here, as far as my recommendations for the best devices for beginners, I’m only recommending the original Kink3D Cobra. That’s because it is a known high quality device. While I understand the temptation to buy an almost identical device for the fraction of the cost of the original Cobra, I also know a wide disparity of quality exists among the counterfeits on the market. I’ve talked to guys who have bought copies advertised as 3D printed that were actually molded plastic and more than a few guys have told me the Cobra copies they bought broke after less than a month of normal use.

I’ve been fortunate with the Cobra copies I’ve purchased and just ordered another one from a company I’ve bought from before, a knock-off copy of the Baby Cobra. I ordered the copy because I want to see whether I like the fit of Baby Cobra better than the Cobra N before spending $160 to get the original.

So, that’s my current device recommendations for chastity device beginners. The price difference between a HT device and the higher priced Cobra (black) will be within $10-$15 for most guys. Knowing what I do now, I’d probably go with the Cobra simply because it’s an open-style cage I can keep clean in the shower without removing it. Holy Trainer devices are closed tube types that users should remove at least weekly to maintain proper hygiene. If you don’t mind the regular cleaning unlocks, I think the Holy Trainer offers more comfortable wear for guys with penis girth sizes that work with the 33 mm internal cage diameter.

Honor Chastity Revisted

While it is beginning to sound (and feel) a little redundant, it’s time for another episode of honor chastity revisted. So, in this post, I’ll also cover some other things.

More AI art

Back to Honor Chastity. Again.

While I had felt cautiously optimistic that Lucie might allow me to finish Chastity 90 locked, it was not to be. After eighteen days this time, she surprised me this morning by telling me to unlock for 72 hours. And she surprised me again with a week-long self-teasing schedule for me to do while she is away on a two-week summer vacation that she left on this afternoon.

The schedule has a different assignment for each day of the week, and I will repeat it next week. That, according to Lucie, should keep my arousal peaking until she returns from vacation. And she didn’t want me to feel locked and forgotten when I’m re-locked in a few days.

I know from experience while self-locking that the effectiveness of self-teasing can feel less than optimum. But this feels different since Lucie created the assignments and, frankly, they seem quite interesting.

Other than the requirement to perform edges on two different days each week, none of the other tasks are things she has given me to do before. And, I appreciate she spent the time and energy to create something to help maintain my focus while she is away. Lucie had already told me not to expect our usual daily interaction while she was on vacation, so I’d had been dreading a Lucie-less fortnight. Maybe the assignment schedule will help the time pass more quickly.

Update on My Kink3D Cobra N Device Experience

After spending another eighteen days in my Kink3D Cobra N chastity device, I feel compelled to update my experience with it. Love. Love. Love it. This may be my favorite long-term chastity device ever.

As a die-hard stainless steel device fan since my salad days with chastity devices, I admit I once felt pretty dismissive of plastic cages. Some of the great resin cages I’ve tried out for reviews had slowly chipped away at my disdain for plastic devices, but I give full credit to Kink3D’s 3D-printed nylon device for winning me over. I still love the weight and feel of my custom-made stainless-steel devices, and I’ll wear those again sometimes. But the last eighteen days convinced me that the Cobra might be the best long-term device option currently available.

There are three things I demand from a chastity device for long-term wear: fit, comfort, and ease of maintaining acceptable hygiene. The Cobra earned high marks in all three areas during my 18-day locked period.

First, the device felt completely comfortable. Usually when I’m wearing any device, especially when I first wake up in the morning, I feel some slight discomfort where the base ring runs beneath my balls. I attribute this to the changes the testicles undergo when a penis owner becomes sexually aroused.

Researchers tell us the testicles increase in size (not quite double) and move closer to the base of the penis to prepare for ejaculation when desire becomes arousal. So, when a guy wakes up with morning wood (or the attempt at morning wood for those of us wearing a chastity device) the conditions are ripe for these changes to occur. The increased size narrows the “ball gap” and the barrier the ring provides that keeps the testicles from rising closer to the base of the penis combine to produce the uncomfortable feeling of tightness.

While I can’t say it is painful, I find it uncomfortable enough to find it annoying. So, usually, the first thing I do every morning when locked is to step into the shower and spray hot water on my balls with the handheld until the heat forces them to descend further from my body to maintain optimum temperature. Not once during the past eighteen days did I experience this discomfort while wearing the Cobra. I can’t explain why, but my morning shower routine became unnecessary. And that’s only one reason I found the Cobra so incredibly comfortable to wear.

Now, let’s talk about hygiene. By design, the Cobra cage is an open-style cage. It comes very close to how open my favorite stainless-steel devices are. That allows me to clean the cage and contents thoroughly using soap and my handheld shower head. And when I removed the cage after eighteen days, I detected none of the funky odor you get with chastity cages that are difficult to clean while wearing them. Also, the skin of my penis was in pristine condition with no dryness or other issues.

While the Kink3D “airlock” performed flawlessly, I found it nearly impossible to thread the “shackle” end of the plastic lock through the locking housing of the device after mating the cage and base ring. The plastic is very stiff and it resists bending to slip through the small hole at the end of the housing. When I searched the web for a solution I found only a video that suggested threading the plastic lock through backwards instead of the way intended. That was easier, but it leaves the printed numbers facing down instead of up where the keyholder can read them. I felt sure Lucie would not be impressed with that.

After some experimentation, I stumbled on a very simple, and easy solution. I’ll make a video instruction when I have time since I’m not sure how clearly I can explain it using only text. But, you thread the free end of the plastic lock along the airlock as usual. It lays in a small channel and the tip goes through a tiny hole at the far end of the plastic pin. Then you join the cage with the base ring, but only the tab portion at the top of the cage with the hole through it that fits into the center of the base ring receiver. Tilt the nose of the cage up slightly to keep the tabs on each side away from where they snap into the base ring. Then, clamping that center tab and the base ring receiver together with the thumb and index finger of your right hand, insert just the tip of the locking pin into the lock opening and thread the end of the plastic lock through the hole in the center tab with your left hand fingers. You can then easily grab the free end of the lock and pull it through the partially open receiver housing to where it needs to be. Then, snap the cage and base ring together properly and push the plastic locking pin completely into the receiver and you’re ready to lock. It’s incredibly easy to do this way while trying to do it the way many videos on the webs show it is nearly impossible. It isn’t so difficult when you’re holding the device in your hand like they do on the videos. But using that method when you are wearing the device is a different matter.

Male Call Addendum - Cherry Keeper Ball Gap Question

After publishing the “Mall Call” post last time, I received another question from a blog follower about Cherry Keeper chastity devices and I didn’t want to delay answering it. Nikos wrote to say he has decided he wants a Cherry Keeper device. But since he has “high and tight” balls, he is concerned about the width of the “ball gap” and wanted to know whether the manufacturer offers options for a device with the wider gap.

Thanks for the question, Nikos. You called the device you are considering “Cherry Picker” but I am assuming you meant “Cherry Keeper” since you referred to the review I posted on that device. I know some international manufacturers have copied the Cherry Keeper design and are now selling counterfeit devices, and one such manufacturer in China calls its device “Cherry Picker.” So, I can’t be sure whether you spoke of the authentic device designed by Josielynn Jewell that she sells through her Shapeways.com Josielynn’s Body Jewelry shop, or one of the copied devices. Nevertheless, what I can tell you would apply, regardless.

The design of the Cherry Keeper (and devices copying the original design) along with 3D-printing technology doesn’t allow for adjustments to the ball gap width. 3D-printing is not cheap. Profit comes from mass producing items based on a single design as it would be cost prohibitive to offer customization to individuals down to the level of ball gap width of a chastity device. Not to say there aren’t some variances of ball gap width. But the Cherry Keeper (and copiers of the design) rely on the same method as a company like Kink3D to offer narrower or wider ball gaps. Ball gap is a function of base ring size, which isn’t a perfect method.

The authentic Cherry Keeper now comes in about three dozen different models, all called “Cherry Keeper.” So, I just selected a representative model, the Cherry Keeper Standard. Here is a list of the ball gap measurements by base ring size.

Ball Gap Spacing (static):
36mm ring: 10.9 mm
38mm ring: 11.6 mm
40mm ring: 12.5  mm
42mm ring: 13.6 mm
44mm ring: 15.0 mm
46mm ring: 16.5 mm
48mm ring: 18.2 mm
50mm ring: 20.0mm

Source: Josielynn’s Body Jewelry

Here is why this isn’t a perfect method. Say you know a 40mm base ring is the perfect size for you, but you feel a 12.5 mm gap is too narrow for your physiology. To get a wider gap, you would have to try a larger than perfect-sized ring. Maybe the 42mm or 44mm, or something even larger.

The problem is, if you go too much larger than what is your optimum size, you may experience problems with a testicle popping out of the base ring when wearing the device. But if you truly need a wider gap, using a bigger ring than you actually want is the only solution.

My ideal base ring size is 42mm and so with the Cherry Keeper I get a 13.6 mm ball gap. That’s roughly 9/16 inch using imperial units of measurement. While that is a bit over 1/2 inch, I still find it works for me with the Cherry Keeper, even though I usually have ball-slippage issues with devices having a gap that wide. I too have high and tight balls and a 3/8 inch (9.525 mm) gap works perfectly for me.

Since I can’t imagine anyone has balls that are higher and tighter than mine, I’m curious how you know you need a wider gap than the usual set by the manufacturer? That’s because ball gap is impossible to measure, meaning measuring ourselves the way we measure length and girth of the penis and circumference of a circle around the penis base and behind the scrotum for base ring sizing. Personal experience, I imagine. Like I once tried a device with a 1/4 inch gap and within minutes, it felt like the base ring was crushing my balls. And I’ve tried several devices with a 1/2 inch gap and one of my testicles always popped out of the ring. After trying multiple devices with 3/8 inch gaps, I learned that was my ideal ball gap measurement.

Anyway, I’d suggest visiting the Josielynn’s Body Jewelry website, https://www.shapeways.com/shops/josielynn-s-body-jewellery and reviewing the specifications for the specific model you are interested in. If you’re considering a knock-off, then just take a look at the website and choose the model that looks most similar to what you’re thinking of getting. Those who copy designs from other manufacturers almost always buy and then reverse engineer an original they intend to copy. So, I have high confidence the measurements will be exactly the same. Then, if you believe you know your ideal ball gap, try a base ring size that’s closest to the gap width you need. The Cherry Keeper base rings are relatively cheap (around $20), so maybe try two or three to see what works best.

KINK3D Fulfills Promise Rolling Out Cobra Fusion Pink

Since the inception of the Kink3D Cobra 3-D printed chastity device, the company emulated Henry Ford’s famous philosophy when he started manufacturing the Model T. When asked what color Ford would offer the cars in, he said: “Any color the customer wants, as long as it’s black.” So, Kink3D customers got the same singular color choice, basic black. But after two years of R&D, Kink3D fulfilled its promise for other color options with the rollout of Cobra Fusion PinkTM.

As I mentioned recently in my review of the Kink3D Cobra N, the company has long promised additional color choices. That had appeared on the company’s website for years, which made me wonder how committed they were to the idea. But they have fulfilled the promise with the first new color since the company put the Cobra device on the market by rolling out the Kink3D Cobra Fusion PinkTM model. The popular Cobra chastity device will now be available in a vibrant shade of pink. Kink3D is now taking preorders and will begin shipping the new devices in mid-July, although that may extend to September depending on the model ordered.

Kink3D Cobra Fusion Pink Available Sizes and Pricing

The Fusion Pink Cobra comes in the same eight sizes as the original black Cobra. The devices are available as kits (cage, one base ring, and lock) and you can order the cages and rings separately.

Expect to pay $40 more across the entire line for the Fusion Pink kits than the original black models cost. Those who truly prefer pink chastity devices may find paying more to get one well worth it. Those who are fine with basic black might prefer to save a few bucks. While I love the new color, I’m happy with black.

Other Cobra Fusion Pink Data

According to the website, Kink3D manufactures the Fusion Pink cages with non-reactive PA12 nylon without any colorants that might irritate sensitive skin.

The company applies a unique solvent at a lower temperature, that protects the bright pink color and gives the devices a glossy finish and a slightly more grippy feeling texture compared to the standard black devices.

In conclusion, if you’ve longed for a hot pink Cobra, your ship has come in.

KINK3D Cobra N Review

A look at what I thought of the KINK3D Cobra N after a shorter-than-expected wear-test period.

Because I’m now locked by a keyholder, I had to cut short my wear-testing of the KINK3D Cobra N. My keyholder insists I use a device that can be secured with disposable plastic numbered tag and other alternatives are not up for debate.

Since we have only just become acquainted, I understand and respect her opinion on the matter. So, I replaced the Cobra N with one of my stainless steel devices that allows the use of the plastic locks. Still, with only a few days of wear, I feel confident I can already express an honest opinion on this KINK3D authentic Cobra device.

First Impressions of the Cobra N

I chose the Cobra N model to review for two reasons. First, it is the same size as my Badassworkroom HF-001 E1B, the shorter version of the two Badassworkroom devices I have that are patterned on the Cobra. The difference is the Cobra N is 3D-printed, while the Badassworkroom devices that copy the Cobra design are molded resin devices. Interestingly, the Badassworkroom has discontinued offering the HF-001 devices and they are no longer available from the main website or its Etsy store.

The other reason I chose the Cobra N is because it is the shortest cage KINK3D offers with the “wide girth” option. I wanted that instead of the standard size (similar to my HF-001 E1B) because I have a thicker than average flaccid penis. And I’m happy I chose the wide girth option because while my flaccid penis still fills the space, it feels so much more comfortable and less restrictive. KINK3D offers one shorter cage version called the Baby Cobra, but the wide girth isn’t available with that device. Otherwise, I would have felt tempted to order the Baby Cobra instead.

I loved the smooth tactile feel on my fingertips of the Cobra right out of the box. Although I truly like the Badassworkroom copies I have, the texture of the Cobra feels silky smooth in comparison. And it felt exactly the same when I put on the device for the first time. It fit like a glove and was so lightweight that it was virtually unnoticeable. The standard 3/8 inch gap works perfectly for my high and tight scrotum. I also liked that I could wear the Cobra comfortably with the base ring that most closely matches the size I use with my custom-made stainless steel devices.

Cobra N Specifications

Unlike other chastity device manufacturers, KINK3D does not publish size specifications on the lengths of its device cages. Possibly this is aimed at preventing other manufacturers from copying their exact designs. Instead, they recommend cage size based on the users’ flaccid penis measurements.

As an example, the company recommends the Cobra N for those with flaccid lengths from 2 to 2-1/2 inches. Flaccid length varies near constantly because of environmental factors, variations in resting blood supply to the penis, hormonal activity, etc. As I have shared before, my flaccid varies from 2.5 inches to a little over 3 inches and I find the Cobra N still fits me perfectly. Just about anyone with a flaccid size, even well over 2-1/2 inches, could wear the Cobra N comfortably since “turtling” would take care of any excess length. But KINK3D offers the Cobra in eight sizes to accommodate flaccid sizes from 1.25 inches (Cobra Baby) to 6 inches (Cobra BFG). Consult the KINK3D website if you are interested in learning what size the company recommends for all the length ranges.

Cage Inside Diameter

KINK3D also does not reveal the exact internal diameter measurements for its cages. Instead, the company suggests its three available internal diameters based on flaccid penis girth.

They recommend the “Narrow” option for those with thinner than average flaccid penises (available with the Baby, N+, and S models). The company recommends the “Standard” option (available with all models) for those with flaccid penises of average girth. The third option, “Wide” (available with N, N+, S, S+, R, and R+ models), is aimed at those with thicker than average flaccid penises. Standard works for most individuals and is the place to start unless you know from experience with other devices that Narrow or Wide would suit you better.

Base Ring Sizing

KINK3D offers no specific advice on measuring for base ring size. Instead they tell you to rely on your past experience with other devices or advise you to consult existing references available on the web. So, knowing my ideal base ring size is 43mm, I chose the KINK3D Nubmber 2 base ring, which is minutely larger at 44.5mm and fits well.

I won’t reprint the list here for the sake of brevity, but KINK3D offers eight different base ring sizes that range from 1-1/2 inches (38.1mm) to 2-3/8 inches (60.3mm). You can review all the available sizes here on the company’s website.

The company also offers three different styles of base rings:

XD – thicker than the standard 8mm rings and recommended for those with smaller testicles or who need a narrower gap between the base ring and cage.

Standard – 8mm thickness and works for most people.

Curved – 5mm backward curve at the bottom. The curved ring is good for troubleshooting pressure under the scrotum. But KINK3D warns that people with smaller testicles can be more likely to pop a testicle out through the wider gap.

I purchased an extra ring with my device because I wanted to try the curved ring. Pressure under the scrotum is the only discomfort I ever have with any chastity device and is especially pronounced when my cremaster muscles are intent because of environmental conditions on pulling my testicles up and closer to my body. My testicles are average size, not small, but with the curved ring, my right testicle kept popping out of the base ring. The curved ring eased all the pressure under my scrotum, but is unusable since my right testicle refuses to cooperate. The standard ring of the same diameter works perfectly. My recommendation is to stick with the standard base ring.

Security of the Cobra N

Cobra devices are standard “ball-trap” devices, and no ball-trap device is escape proof. While KINK3D claims a well-fitted Cobra minimizes the chance of escape, I must tell you the truth. The Cobra has the same security flaw as all the Cobra copies I’ve tried before testing the actual Cobra.

By placing a thumb between the integral lock housing and my abdomen and pushing outward, I can easily push the ring and cage away from body until I expose almost half of my flaccid penis length. Then, using the index finger of my other hand, I can easily back my soft penis out of the cage and out the back of the base ring. Once my penis is free of the device, my right testicle easily comes out of the base ring and then the left testicle comes out and I’m free of the locked device.

If I did not remove my testicles from the base ring, I could push my soft penis back inside the cage. But when I removed the device completely, I could not put it back on without unlocking it. That means a wearer could back their penis out of the locked device, and while leaving their testicles inside the base ring, masturbate to orgasm, and then put their penis back inside the cage after becoming flaccid again.

So, for those willing to cheat a keyholder (and themselves), the Cobra does little to prevent it. Still, for those who are serious about chastity and ethical enough to keep their commitments to a keyholder, the Cobra offers adequate security. It definitely will not fall off by itself. But as one example, the Holy Trainer devices offer far more deterrence against cheating than the KINK3D Cobra devices.

PA Piercing Compatibility

KINK3D states the Cobra is generally compatible with PA piercings. This is the FAQ information they have published on the website to the question, “Are Cobra cages compatible with a Prince Albert (PA) piercing?”

“Generally yes. PA piercings up to 2 gauge size should be compatible with all standard Cobra cages (with the exception of the Baby Cobra Narrow, which can only accommodate 6 gauge PAs and smaller). PAs that are 0 gauge or larger may fit on certain cage sizes, but can be a tight squeeze.” (Source: https://kink3d.com/apps/help-center#hc-do-you-make-your-cages-for-people-with-a-pa).

However, I’ve read several reviews written by individuals (including Thumper) who have PA piercings and have tried the Cobra devices who all say that while the devices work with PA piercings, they often experienced instances of unpleasant pinching. So, this device may not be the best option for those with a PA.

Yes, I'm back in black

One thing I loved about Badassworkroom HF-001 Cobra copies were the vibrant colors the company offered. I have one in a light purple color and one in hot pink. In comparison, KINK3D offers the actual Cobra in black only. Information on the website suggests they are testing dyes and may offer additional colors in the future, but that information has been published for a while now, so I’m unsure how committed they are to the idea.

Pricing Considerations

The KINK3D Cobra devices are not the priciest plastic devices on the market, but they are not cheap. That explains why so many people opt for buying the less expensive copies from other manufacturers. Prices range from $160 (Cobra Baby) to $200 (Cobra BFG) for the full kits that include one base ring, the cage, and the integral lock with two keys.

I paid $170 for the Cobra N plus another $40 for the extra curved base ring. KINK3D sells cages and base rings separately. If, for example, I wanted to try the Baby Cobra, I could just buy the cage and use it with the base ring they came with my Cobra N. But the component pricing is also pricey. If you bought a cage and a base ring separately, the combined cost would equal the price of buying a complete kit, only you would not get a lock with it.

Since I’m not in the business of manufacturing 3D-printed chastity devices, I don’t know what it costs to produce a Cobra. But I have a fake Cobra I purchased from eBay about a year ago which is 3D-printed, came with four different sized base rings, and cost me less than $30. It is a very faithful reproduction, so much so that the base rings fit my actual Cobra N perfectly. And both devices have the same silky feel regarding finish and how they feel when wearing them. That leaves me wondering how much of the KINK3D prices represents profit. 3D printers are not inexpensive, so I know they have some sunk costs, but I think their prices are higher than necessary. Especially now that many options for quality 3D-printed chastity devices exist.

Frankly, I like the Cobra N device and find it comfortable to wear. But in comparison, I consider my Holy Trainer Nub, a comparable sized device that was $5 cheaper, a far superior device in almost every way. Except for my interest in reviewing the Cobra, I doubt I would have ever paid $170 for a Cobra N, especially since I already have the Badassworkroom copy that performs identically.

That said, now that I have the Cobra N, I know I will wear it often. In fact, I just ordered the KINK3D accessory called the airlock, which is a metal-free lock adapter you can use with disposable numbered plastic locks in place of the standard lock. No more worries about metal detectors when you travel and in my case, I hope my new keyholder will allow me to wear the Cobra N with the airlock and a plastic lock since I don’t like wearing my stainless steel devices secured with plastic locks since they allow the cages to rotate excessively on the locking pins.

Hygiene Concerns

The one area in which the Cobra N outshines the Holy Trainer Nub is ease of cleaning while wearing it. Since it is an open-type cage style device, I found I can clean it just as easily and thoroughly in the shower with my handheld shower head as any of my stainless steel open cage devices. That means I can wear it indefinitely with no need for removing it for cleaning as I must do with the closed tube Nub.

The Verdict

I think the KINK3D Cobra devices are a little pricier than necessary since they are basic plastic ball-trap devices, and the devices provide less deterrence to cheating than other plastic devices of comparable quality and price. But I have no other criticisms as the Cobra is a high quality, made in the USA device that is comfortable to wear and will not injure the wearer provided the person takes the time to measure and gets a properly fitted device. And as soon as I receive the airlock accessory, I hope to persuade my keyholder to allow me to return to wearing the Cobra N.

Me Waiting Patiently for my Airlock

PROs

  • Excellent quality
  • Silky smooth feel
  • The ingenious air lock accessory
  • Hygiene friendly

Cons

  • Pricey
  • Less secure than comparable devices

Disclaimer: This review represents my honest opinions and as always I purchased this device at the advertised retail price using my own funds. I have no affiliation with KINK3D except as a satisfied customer.

In the next post, I will share a little about my new keyholder. We met on a video call for the lock up and she quickly removed any doubts I might have had about her sadistic nature. I’m still applying a frozen bag of peas today between my legs. But it was worth it because I got to actually see her and learned that she is impossibly attractive and projects her authentic dominant nature even virtually. I may have found the keyholder of my dreams.

Cobra Male Chastity Lock Device Review

My much delayed Cobra Male Chastity Lock device review

I completed the wear test of the Cobra Male Chastity Lock device weeks ago, but had difficulty generating the enthusiasm to write and post the review. The reason for that is I wasn’t much impressed with this chastity device.

Just so we’re clear, this is NOT the KINK Cobra 3D-Printed chastity device, which I haven’t tried but have seen many positive reviews for. Instead, the Cobra Male Chastity Chasity Lock is a cheap copy of the KINK3D original and not in the same class.

I purchased and tested this device, hoping it might be a less expensive alternative for guys who may not have $155 to $185 to buy the KINK3D original. This device looks like the original, and the parts fit together the same. And it is a 3D-printed device.

Cobra Male Chastity Lock Specifications

Cobra Male Chastity Lock Device Physical Details

The manufacturer made this 3D-printed device from strong, lightweight plastic. It appears quite durable. The seller included a small square of high-grit sandpaper in the box, but I didn’t need it. Instead, I found the interior of the tube and all of the four different size base rings completely smooth to touch. The base rings are the standard circular type.

One thing I like about the device is the ring assortment; a 42mm, 45mm, 48mm, and 52mm base ring. My base ring size is 43mm, and I found the 42mm worked well enough for me. Usually, I must default to the 45mm base ring size with off-the-shelf devices, which is a little too big.

The seller offers this device in five different lengths:

  • Micro (50mm)
  • Tight (60mm)
  • Snug (75mm)
  • Comfort (85mm)
  • Max (100mm)

I prefer cages a little shorter than the actual average length of my flaccid penis, but I purchased the “Snug” model (75mm) because I thought the size might be more applicable to guys with average size penises. So, that is the model the specs provided above apply to. Ordinarily, if I was only purchasing this device for my use, I would have purchased the “Tight” model (60mm). And I had reason after trying out the device to regret not buying the shorter model.

The manufacturer provides a brass “MagicLocker” and two keys with the device.

Cobra Male Chastity Lock Device Use

The Cobra Male Chastity Lock is a standard ball-trapping device. You insert your scrotum and testicles into the base ring, pull your flaccid penis through the ring to rest atop your testicles, and slide the cage on. Then you mate the two components together and lock up. The device feels secure, but as we know, standard ball-trapping device security is mostly illusionary unless you combine a PA piercing with the device to eliminate the possibility of escape. Unfortunately, there is no option offered for PA wearers. I had no ball slippage issues with the device, which means the standard factory-set gap worked great for me and probably will for ninety percent of the other guys.

The 37mm (1.45669 inches) inside diameter of the penis tube will also work for most men with average size penises. But it might not work for guys with larger peens. However, the variety of penis cage lengths available (50mm to 100mm) means finding a length that works wouldn’t be a problem for most.

There is one quirk to the design of the penis cages I haven’t seen before. The cage is wider than it is in height. So when you hold it out upright in front of your eye, the inside looks like an oval instead of a circle. I don’t know if the original KINK3D design is the same since I haven’t tried one, but at least in the images on the website, the KINK3D cages seem round, not oval-shaped.

The oval shape produced an interesting issue for me, which made me dissatisfied with this device. As all penis owners know, the penis naturally expands and contracts both in length and girth due to external factors, such as temperature. For example, cold weather can make a flaccid penis smaller temporarily. This happens automatically and is controlled by the central nervous system. When I woke after the first night I slept wearing this device, I noticed that my flaccid penis had withdrawn and “stuck” in the upper half of the cage. The cage wasn’t excessively tight, but the oval shape of the cage is why this occurred. I assume I had an attempted erection during the night, and my penis expanded. Then when it contracted, it stuck in the upper end of the cage and couldn’t, in a flaccid state, lengthen. It was actually turtled inside the cage. Using a Q-tip, I eliminated the entrapment and my penis expanded to fill the cage once again. But soon I learned, this would happen again and again over the course of the two weeks I wear tested this device.

I can only imagine the designer of this device thought “smushing” the cage into an oval shape might keep the penis properly positioned, but failed to take into account it would also result in the issue I experienced.

As the image illustrates, my flaccid penis (the usual average length) fills the cage to the tip. Except after a workout or cold weather, my average length when flaccid isn’t much different that the photo shows. So, there is no good reason for it to get stuck and turtled in the upper half of a penis cage. I’ve never had this happen with any other device.

I found this annoying enough that I won’t use this device again. But others might find enough to like about it that they could live with the issue I’ve described. And the device does have some positive features. It seems well-made and durable, is light weight, fits together tightly, and it’s inexpensive.

Precautions to Consider While Wearing the Cobra Male Chastity Lock

The standard precautions apply as with any ball-trapping male chastity device, choosing the proper size base ring is important. The worst that can happen if you choose a ring that’s too large is the locked device might come off or be too easily escaped. However, choosing a ring that is too small can cause significant problems, including compromising your circulation. As a rule of thumb, skin discoloration or skin temperature of the scrotum that feels cooler than normal body temperature are indications of reduced circulation. Wearing a base ring that interferes with circulation is asking for a serious medical issue. When wearing a male chastity device, you should always be able to insert a fingertip between the base ring and your skin. If you can’t, the ring is too small and may impair circulation.

Comfort and Feel of Wearing the Cobra Male Chastity Lock

The Cobra Male Chastity Lock device is very comfortable to wear, and very light weight. Even when my flaccid peen got stuck in the top of the cage after normal contractions it never felt uncomfortable. I just didn’t care for the aesthetics or the time I had to spend manipulating my penis back into the proper position again and again. Comfort and quality are probably the two greatest strengths.

Hygiene Concerns When Wearing the Cobra Male Chasity Lock

Ease of maintaining good hygiene is another area where this device gets high marks. Because of the open design, I found it as easy to keep clean as any of my steel cock cages. And when I removed it the first time for a weekly deep cleaning, I didn’t detect the unpleasant odors I’ve come to expect from resin and plastic cages.

Final Thoughts

One final word on security. This device is secure in the sense it won’t fall off on its own if properly sized. But like most of the resin and plastic devices I’ve tried, I found it quite easy to escape this locked device. By pushing the top of the base ring away from the abdomen, the oval shape of the cage makes it easy to finger your soft penis out of the cage and base ring and then you can easily free your testicles. But I found it impossible to get it back on without unlocking it, which defeats the purpose of escaping if you’re under the watchful eye of a keyholder. And if you aren’t, you could simply unlock it whenever you wished to free yourself.

This isn’t the worst chastity chastity device I’ve ever tried. Because of the fit, comfort, and light weight, I could imagine wearing this device to go for a run or to the gym. But I don’t it like well enough to wear for any extended period of time. The penis sticking issue I mentioned was annoying enough to put me off it. So, I wouldn’t be tempted to buy another of these devices. And since I’m not overly pleased with the device, I wouldn’t recommend it to others. Still, as the comparison below shows, it has more positives than negatives. And if you only want to spend a little on a chastity device, you could certainly do worse than the Cobra Male Chastity Lock. I bought mine right after I first started seeing them on eBay and paid a little more, but I noticed recently they are available from numerous eBay sellers for between $9.99 and $16.99.
